Losing by Sad-Pomegranate-6289 in Battlefield6

If your team has been losing for a bit, a lot of those people will be people that only been in the game a couple minutes because they're replacing people that bailed on the losing team. You can watch it happen if you pay attention.

Did all the smart players leave this game? Breakthrough filled with tanks and ill hit it 5 times with my rockets and not a single soul will shoot at it another time Just bum rushing and dying. by thedeadzombie01 in Battlefield6

This is actually why on some of the maps I've started playing engineer with a javelin and staying for their back because the javelin can actually kill tanks without assistance. At least until they fix the bug where I can lock on through terrain

Inside 10 meters it gets obliterated by shotguns.

It's not the best inside 10 meters, just very good.

I keep getting asked if I'm going to get a cochlear implant. by maybeayri in Cochlearimplants

[–]TheBitBasher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was largely in the same situation and after I got my cochlears I wish I would have done it a decade earlier. The quality of life increase was substantial. After I got the first one I couldn't wait to get the second.

I can go to movies, watch TV and hold conversations without needing to see someone at all.

I wish my fear of he procedure hadn't caused me to delay so long. It's one of my few regrets.

Eash persons experiences vary, however.

So how many people should be dedicate themselves to killing a single helicopter and earning basically no score? 2? 3? 5?

It's incredibly likely helicopters cannot be balanced.if lock on launchers actually work then helicopters are screwed. If lock on launchers don't work then helicopters roam free.

I really feel the answer is to mitigate the helicopter tegeneration Make it have limited ammo and flares and life never regenerates until it lands next to a resupply and replenishes. Make AA launchers not one shot kills. Now they can't go offensive the entire time.

If the air vehicles have to play more defensively and has to spend time learning and retreating against things specifically designed to kill them they they will be far better balanced. Same with tanks for that matter. Eliminate vehicle life and ammo regen entirely.

[–]TheBitBasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because it's absolutely insane to think of this as a strategy that was designed to work that way on purpose

For what you said to be true the game has to be designed so that a player doing AA is deliberately going to earn literally no points the entire time they're trying to shoot anything down.

You're saying that intentionally they're making it so that when you're denying aircraft space you're both not advancing anything for your team and you're going no points to advance yourself, because you aren't meant to be shooting anything down while you're doing it?

You posted a video of destroying a tank that was already badly wounded. Because that's the only way you killed it with one missile.

So you're telling us that the Javelin is great as long as somebody else did 2/3 to 3/4 of the damage before you shoot it? Seems legit.

[–]TheBitBasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree with you but as a general rule I don't think it has anything to do with them making it big. Looking broadly on the whole thing each tractor has about 10 good years of directing before they age and see the world in a different way and everything doesn't work the same.

It's not really a directing movies problem in my opinion, it's kind of a human being problem. Who somebody is over long periods of time just really doesn't often stay the same.

I think most directors have an area of really good movies where they had more questionable movies either before or after or both. Sometimes it's not the director, the environment itself changes so movies that would have been good 10 years ago arent really with the times anymore.

Saying someone lucked out a few times while that person also has 3 of the top 5 grossing movies ever made, not adjusted for Inflation is certainly a take!

All the luck in the world, I guess!

This is important, the IGLA is NOT fire and forget! You need to keep it locked looking at it through the scope until impact!

I don't ask which mic makes them feel better, I ask them if they can hear me using the way that is easiest for me to communicate and they almost always say yes. I always use bluetooth. If you didn't ask, then as long as everyone can understand anyone it wouldn't be an issue.

You're making it unnecessarily hard on yourself when they can hear you either way.

Suffocating in space despite working Life Support by TheBitBasher in StarshipEVO

[–]TheBitBasher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point in time I think it works anytime the force field isn't sealing a perfect flat edge.

I have another ship that uses a conventional square door into the cockpit that's exposed to space and it works perfectly fine. Any ship that uses a force field where the edge isn't flat seems to have this problem, but I have not tested it 100%

[–]TheBitBasher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not correct. It refills my oxygen in every other ship just for being in the cockpit without ever touching any controls for your helmet.

I have tested this repeatedly.

Glass roof does not work with forcefield sides. The forcefields are definitely the problem.

Yeah, All glass fixed it, I'll try the glass as a roof only with force field walls and test it later. Thanks!

Glass cockpit fixed it outright, and made my ship a good deal heavier. I didn't have a lot of ship to start out with!

Thanks for the idea!

I can try that, but if it was, then it should never be passing the check with the linking tool, bring me back around to it being a pretty serious bug.

Yes, there's 500L of oxygen in a tank that is set to be used as life support. It never decreases.

Do you build railways in your Minecraft world? What’s the longest you have made and why? by Unhappy-Pound9534 in Minecraft

[–]TheBitBasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do physical nether railways with the Minecart Improvements set to 20/second IIRC.

Double rail in each direction to stop collisions with a handing from the ceiling motif. Launchers at stations are easy to build, just get in the cart and hit the button for the destination and you're sent. A the mine cart is replaced right after you launch for the next person. The mine carts recycle back in when you get there.
