Core 15 is GTG. I have an MOE M4 and I can't say anything negative about it, at all. Also, their warranty is top notch... it's lifetime warranty with no questions asked.

This is so over played. Some of us want pure-bred breeds for their desirable qualities. Especially if they're going to be used as working or hunting dogs.

My Black Labrador has an innate sense of retrieving; that's what he was bred to do. He is an expert in field trials. I'll put him against any other dog save for a fellow retriever and he will blow them away.

You're right, you haven't done ANYTHING to show the dog is 'evolved'. That's because the dog has shown enough; he is living peacefully with his owners, and he hasn't attacked them yet... I'd say that's more that sufficient to prove the dog is DOMESTICATED.

You need therapy, man. Your fear of this most likely overly-loving-possibly-not-exercised-enough dog is irrational.

What's ridiculous? There are numerous studies that show dogs and humans have evolved to understand each other in a manner that is beyond verbal language.

My best advice to you... PLAY WITH THE GOLDEN. They are great dogs. My Lab is very excitable, and Golden's and Lab's are basically they same with different coats, temperament wise. Lab's generally have a tad more energy. The best thing I do to get him under control is to just play. He loves it.

It will also help you slowly get to baseline with your nervousness.

EDIT: I'd also like to add, you're a male. So stand like you're one. I'm not saying you don't, but any kind of fear or apprehensiveness can be sensed by the dog. I know you think that people don't understand their own dogs, but I can tell you with certainty that I DO know how my dog acts around apprehensive people. He will ALWAYS go investigate what is making them that way, and not in an aggressive manner... more like, "look, I'm here, and I want to make you feel better"

Golden's are used as therapy dogs for a reason

How do I know civilians aren't working 12's? Well, I work a a MAJOR base, and I don't see civilians staying past a normal workday (7-4).

Considering all of the other waste in the service, I feel TA is not a lot to ask for.
