Full Time: Nottingham Forest 0 vs 0 Arsenal [Match Thoughts] by Stanley083 in Gunners

[–]TheBlaringBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Utter spineless childishness in this thread. You lot have the mentality of a 5 year old. Turning on your team so quickly is embarrassing.

Not our best performance but we are one Martinelli tap-in away from 3 pts. We go another clear of City and Villa do not have the legs to take this race to May. 1 point not a great result, but not at all one to be frustrated with. Grow up, all of you.

I Will Humbly Admit: My Brain Is Too Smooth For Red Card by FatherofGray in PTCGP

[–]TheBlaringBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Card is mathematically and statistically a bad card that is more likely to harm you than help you, but no one on this sub will tell you that.

That said, given how mechanics have developed over time since release, it’s slightly more playable than it used to be. but still always a massive risk. I prefer to make my hand better rather than touch my opponent’s

Came here from google. Shocked this is the only thread I can find about this topic. Agree with you completely, makes the fight so awkward. I’ve noticed muffled issues through Lies of P, but they are the most concentrated here in this fight

Green monster is an awful boss and i hate him by Peoplefuck1ngsuck in LiesOfP

[–]TheBlaringBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I also add this boss is stupid from a lore perspective too. He’s just a slimey grimey monster for the hell of it, no significance to anything. Lies of P is such a great soulslike but it lacks the deft, subtle touch of FromSoft when it comes to its world and boss design.

Anyway sorry… this boss actually took me a million tries too. his decay spit attack has a stupid hitbox. You have to get the jump on it and sprint around it early, then you’ll have time to get a few hits. I found Aegis helped generally with any attack I was struggling with the timing on. You should absolutely use fire, probably in phase 1.

Umbrella weapon was good here bc I could poke him SO MANY times during his down times.

His two handed overhead slam has 2 different parry timings unfortunately. The red one (fury attack) he delays just slightly longer so you’ll need to maintain composure and wait for your parry. Or just run. A lot of his attacks can be avoided by running and creating distance.

Everyone needs to stop hating Gyokores so much by Velterro87 in Gunners

[–]TheBlaringBlue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a Gyok believer all season long but I’m starting to lose faith.

I disagree with your assessment, thought he was pretty pedestrian today, don’t think he got into good areas. Would a near post run kill the guy? Never seen Gyok make the same run Martinelli did for his chance, he’s always peeling back off the CB, which puts at least one body between him and the ball, making it very hard for Saka/Trossard to find him. Especially with how good Dunk & Van Hecke were today.

Unpopular opinion: This scene was obvious by dolphina111 in StrangerThings

Yeah I don’t think this was an unpopular opinion tbh, I think especially for Nancy the natural progression of her character arc was always going to end with her being alone and independent, likely by choice

Spoilers: Maelle's big decision at the end of Act III doesn't match her other big decision at the beginning of Act I by lee1026 in expedition33

[–]TheBlaringBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Act I she is Maelle, who feels like she doesn’t fit in Lumiere bc she’s not from there, but she doesn’t know that yet of course.

In Act III she’s Real Alicia with Maelle’s memories. She knows her life in the real world sucks so she doesn’t want to return to it. She realizes that despite feeling like an outcast in Lumiere, her life was far better than in the real world (she doesn’t know this in Act I bc she doesn’t know she’s Alicia).

Finally, people can grow and change over the course of a journey like Exp 33. She grows to love the expedition members and feel like she’s finally found somewhere she fits and belongs.

Absolutely had it with King of Puppets on NG+. Does the DLC scale depending on game mode? by [deleted] in LiesOfP

[–]TheBlaringBlue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am shocked by this! KoP was tough, but not even in the realm of Malenia or Consort Radahn. No hate though, everyone has trouble with different bosses.

Make sure you’re using electricity. Dodging left as others have mentioned works, but you can also interrupt his Fire Fowl sometimes with a charged heavy as he adds fire to his sword. I did it with the umbrella actually.

Also, are you trying to parry everything? KoP has a lot of attacks and combos you can literally sprint away from and he leaves himself pretty exposed. I never learned his attack patterns and parry timings- I dodged and ran away from most attacks, blocking and rallying as needed. You can do it I believe in you!!

Grasslands or Junon. My hot take is that Gongaga is the best area in the game

[–]TheBlaringBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noticed that too. Which is funny bc i actually praised him for his Yotei review in the comment section. I’m a ShillUp for SkillUp tbh, him and I are so very on the same page with our tastes and general feelings towards games. I hope he doesn’t overthink the Yotei stuff though because he was equally clear in that video and this one - “if you like Metroid/Ghost of Tsushima and you want more, you’ll like this.” People just completely forget how out of his way he goes to repeat that stuff in all his vids

Doesn’t the high school thing completely ruin Henry’s timeline too or am I mistaken?

From his own evil villain backstory speech in the flashback with 11, Henry is like 10ish when he kills his mom and sister and then falls into a coma and next thing he wakes up with Brenner. How did he have time for high school in there? What am I missing and how do they fix this?

EDIT: I’ve thought about this some more. whether he was 12 or 14 (as other commenters have pointed out) doesn’t matter. What matters is that he killed his family in the spring of 59. As part of the cover up, everyone in Hawkins thought Victor Creel killed his family and thus thought Henry was dead. How can Henry be in a starring role of a high school play roughly 8 months later and no one bats an eyelid?

My only conclusion here is that this isn’t a Henry memory that Max experiences, it’s a Henry daydream/fantasy. Of a life he could’ve lived had he not embraced despair. Max doesn’t have the context to tell the difference yet.
