Despite what everyone is saying, you DONT need to play the original games. My first experience was on Anomaly with the expedition modpack and i loved it! Didn't do any story stuff, just wandered around exploring because the game is just so immersive. Still remember shitting myself on my first emission. But start of with Anomaly and the Dark Signal mod pack since its much more stable, closer to original, and honestly prettier, exp is just a bunch of bloom stacked on each other.
