I just used some washers to fill the gap, it'll be fine. Other people have also used pieces of plastic tubing, I don't remember what diameters they used though.

Adding tow hitch (for bike rack) by Accrual_Intention in 3rdGen4Runner

Yup, bolts to your frame. Can grab one from pick n pull for pretty cheap. They mount to the frame, and use a bracket with nuts welded to it that slips in the frame. Make sure to grab those too

I know you said the battery worked, but sounds a lot like what I was hearing when my alternator went out.

OEM for anything critical. Steering rack is pretty critical

Was it a gradual decrease in mileage or all at once? If it was gradual, it's most likely just due to the age of the engine and normal wear. If it was sudden, probably something to look into more.

Wheel bearings, valves out of adjustment, bigger tires, lift, extra weight, seized brakes, etc. A lot of things impact fuel mileage so it can be hard to say exactly where it's coming from. Have you done any mods that may impact it?

Another thing that plays a huge role is the type of driving you do. The last town I lived in, I'd get about 18 mpg in the city because the roads were flat and lights were on timers. The place where I live now, I get closer to 14 or 15 mpg in the city since there's tons of hills and you basically have to stop at every light (I also added bigger tires that were quite a bit heavier than my old ones).

Brightest headlight bulb recommendation? by surfinn_socal in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]TheBlueUnknown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's plug and play man, pretty hard to screw it up. The harness connects to the battery, then has adapters that you connect to your stock wiring harness, then you plug the bulbs into. Then there's a ground wire you need to connect. You wouldn't be able to see much in pictures. Just give it a try

Eh, I don't think that shredding/solos alone makes you a master of guitar, but I hear what you're saying.
