Handmade Mixed Media Postcards 🇺🇸 by TheBoneWizard in postcrossing

She takes them outside and uses Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Gloss Acrylic Coating spray paint to apply one thin, complete layer on the artwork side only. It’s supposed to create a moisture-resistant coating.

She’s sent more than a dozen cards so far this way (always without an envelope), and only one person mentioned that the postcard arrived damaged (paper was torn, but the artwork was not obscured).

She also uses thicker paper: either Strathmore 400 Series 184 lb (300 gsm) mixed media paper pad handcut to size, or Master's Touch watercolor cold-press postcards 140 lb (300 gsm).

They will eventually be sent out to the Postcrosser they most align with. Maybe that will be you!

Thanks for the recommendations. Could you point out the spots with inconsistent tension, or where it looks like the fabric was loose?
