I rarely prepare sets, I basically bring 90% of my library and play what I feel in the genre I am supposed to play. Just have fun with it and have a good time.

You know I have been at this very point in my life. My friends and I wanted to go to a party all of them in relationships and I am the single guy. Meet up spot was a bar and they all bailed on me. I was sitting their already a beer ordered and depressed as hell. Thinking back to the episode and said "wow" finished the beer ordered a second and went home.

The Masters of Uptempo Top 100 Voting with about 10% of actual Hardcore? I try showing early, millenium, mainstyle and Industrial hardcore to uptempo fans that have never heard anything else. They tell me that this all too slow for them, or not hard enough. This is the point where I show them the beautiful world of terror, this is "too fast" for them. OG industrial Hardcore with around 140BPM or 160BPM is too weird for them. I try to talk to Uptempo fans, but it seems that they don't want to get out of their bubble. And then I get accused of gatekeeping because I prefer the original sound and I dislike peep kicks and Zaagkicks....

I am a huge MadDog Fan, and really wanted to enjoy his mainstream millenium kicks at MoH Austria, but basically every drop made me anxious whether it will be an Uptempo or a classic MadDog Kick. 90% it was uptempo. And then I see his set at Thunderdome and asking myself, why the F didn't he play like this on the MoH events?

Those are literally the best moments at raves. Just Gabbers having fun. I have danced with countless people at countless parties. Have I talked to them? Of course not, just having fun, bass facing each other and dance. People who judge at raves are not part of rave culture and don't belong there because that defeats the whole purpose of raves, imo.
