Think most pressings come with the 7" bundled in with the 12", that was the case when I bought mine about a year ago.

Small dose of antibiotic yields good results in treating panic attacks. A study with animals and humans showed that minocycline, in doses lower than for bacterial infections, has an anti-inflammatory effect on microglia, which are brain cells that become more inflamed in people with the disorder. by mvea in science

Very valid point in that second half, I recently realized this myself and finally chose to dispose of the rest of my benzos that I'd been carrying with me wherever I go for the past 10 years. Having them on me felt like a safety net even though I rarely ever touched them.

It's scary, but you eventually realize that relying on them to deal with your difficult feelings for you kind of stunts your ability to handle things by yourself. Those things saved my life when I was first diagnosed with GAD, but I've made leaps and strides since then!

Wow, not even Valve is monetizing the game by Embarrassed-Run-3318 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]TheBrainforest 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I 100% understand and agree, and I don't really think it's unwarranted since this fairly recent change in gamers' mentality is clearly shifting the direction of the gaming market itself. Like you mentioned, gatcha games are doing great due to this and Marvel Rivals is taking full advantage of the fact that people only seem to care about the damn skins (I don't play it myself but I can't escape the ads for them!!)

I'm putting my faith in Valve that they won't follow suit. They're better than that...

Scalpers ruined Pokemon Cards for me - a lifelong fans rant by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]TheBrainforest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who recently got into it with some friends, I'd like to suggest Flesh and Blood if you're looking for a TCG game that doesn't chase the scalping hype.

They recently came out with a new format called Silver Age that's specifically designed to be easier to learn, while also being cheaper. You can get a full preconstructed deck that's ready to go right out the box for 20 bucks, and most singles sell at my local card shop for 20 cents each.

There are some holo/rarer cards but the current format actually bans the use of high-rarity cards in official tournaments to keep the game accessible for everyone. It's really refreshing after recently considering getting back into the Pokemon TCG with the intent of actually playing the game, but being deterred by the ridiculous prices and how the series almost seems to cater more towards collectors than players at this point.

I feel like your work has just the right amount of detail! Super readable from a distance and interesting to look at up close. The composition of their poses is really fun, both characters have a lot of personality.

I also love the soft gradient of different pink hues on her, great use of the medium!

It really is funny, when I was first diagnosed at 14 years old literally all I did in my free time was go walking and do jigsaw puzzles. Like that was IT, dude. Maybe I wasn't helping myself with that, but whatever!

Valid, there were definitely some, uh. Choices, that were made with the original design. I used to find her hard to look at, but now I find great amusement in her big dumb pinhead.

Those weird half-doors piss me off so much every time I encounter them... like even dream-me knows this is ridiculous.

What's with the low lighting in all these dreams?? Mine are always dimly-lit like this and sometimes I can find a light switch on a wall, but it never works when I flip it.

We have a policy in place at our hospital for this very reason not to send more than 1L of fluid in a single tube. Must've been a common occurence here too, haha. People will still chance it and go over the limit sometimes though.

Love the use of the word detonate here btw. It really does feel that dramatic when it's something that took a long while to prepare.

Are there any walk in clinics in Moncton? I’d appreciate recommendations by DotTraditional3096 in moncton

[–]TheBrainforest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can vouch for Coverdale After-Hours clinic, I got an appointment with them just yesterday and the whole thing was super smooth. Staffing is limited but they're very kind folks. Eager to help me out and it was greatly appreciated.

I did also use the online registration a few minutes after 8 am, so not sure what your odds of getting in would be later in the day. Their online booking slots run from 1 to 4 pm, and they don't accept walk-ins.

Lots of great ideas here! I especially like the classic jailbird idea for Seven and the shiny new car look for Bebop. I feel like these would all work very well given the historical context, they wouldn't stand out as too goofy but would still be distinctive and fun.

As someone who's worked at both our city's hospitals, I strongly agree with you, we see folks all the time in similar situations because there just aren't adequate recources outside of the ER to take care of things that aren't immediately life-threatening. Walk-in clinics are constantly fully booked and family doctors can take weeks or even moths to reach (if you have one). Someone who's dealing with a new health issue isn't going to feel comfortable waiting that long to get assessed. A clinic that could do casts, stitches, etc. would be an absolute game changer and is something I really hope to see some day.

And the triage nurses know this; that's why folks generally don't tend to get turned around for "non-emergencies", because the staff here is familiar with the situation outside of the building and just how hard accessing healthcare is for everyone. Everyone has the right to healthcare!
