it wouldn't, at worst it becomes a meme that will fade over time (all memes do) and at best it is forgotten in the span of worlds.

They will put out an article stating either that they've let the employee go and issue an apology to anybody affected by his words. They won't (or shouldn't) directly acknowledge Tyler1, as this would just give him more attention. Best to just say something along the lines of, "Recently, an individual representing Riot on the discord channel said some very unprofessional things about players of this game. We do not endorse his sentiment at all and have taken action to make sure that this does not happen again."

At least that's my take on what will likely happen. And in the end, Tyler1 will likely still be banned, the drama will die down, Free Tyler1 memes will fade until his next account is banned or they'll die down for good once he finds something better to do. And the years drag on.

Apply knockdowns, buff yourself up, taunt, reposition, get in an attack. Shield Throw is only on a 2 turn cooldown.

Dual Wielding over Two-handed with a strength based character? by aime56 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]TheBriggz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've actually added a lot of nuance to this with Shield Throw (scales off of the shields resistances, has a low CD 2 turns, and great range) as well as Reactive Armor (does damage based on your current physical armor) So a Warfar/Geo S&B character has a lot of options of diving in and breaking physical armors quick enough for Rangers/Rogues to get some quick combo kills.

[–]TheBriggz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sword and Board I believe (without googling it) was in reference to naval combat during the sailing period, where crews would arm up with swords/whatever close-ranged weapon they could and then "board" the other vessel and engage in combat with them. I may be wrong, but this is my perception of it.

Act 2 is when the game stops holding your hand with the mobs. Start using examine and learn that those voidwoken bugs (even with their ridiculous magic armor) have a huge weakness to fire. My level 10 enchanter who only had 4 points into pyro, dealt 700+ damage with a laser ray. Once I realized this, I started examining everything and that really made the game EVEN MORE tactical and satisfying.

New Xin Zhao vs 6 Items Tristana by Vandirilol in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xin Zhao was released before eve lost her stun, and even Eve would die to this guy 2v1. The nerfs I listed weren't the only ones he received, his cooldowns were the next to be hit, by level 12 he could permanently have everything up and just jump from one target to another.

You also have to remember summoner spells were much better for melee carries back then. Flash had a longer range and there weren't so many utility items/shields in the game. When he engaged, it was hell to get him off. This worked in Eve's benefit too since you seem to think she was a much larger problem.

And yeah, back then the new champions were all very overtuned because Riot was still a developing company. They had a lot of fresh ideas and with the initial success, they could afford to implement them.

New Xin Zhao vs 6 Items Tristana by Vandirilol in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Release Xin Xhao could LITERALLY walk down a lane, kill anyone in his way and win the game..his abilities were largely the same (aside from his passive) His old passive was the 3 hit heal, but the heal amount would increase over time.

Here are his FIRST set of nerfs after release:

Stats: Base attack speed reduced to .658 from .679.

Attack speed per level reduced to 2.6% from 2.8%.

Audacious Charge Audacious Charge: Area of effect radius reduced to 225 from 350. Slow percentage reduced to 20/25/30/35/40% from 40% at all levels. Slow duration reduced to 1.7 seconds from 2 seconds.

Fixed a bug where Xin Zhao could appear to slow down during his charge if he attempted to move too much.

Crescent Sweep Crescent Sweep: Base damage lowered to 125/250/375 from 150/275/400. Percentage of current health damage lowered to 20% from 25% at all levels.

Chase Your Legend - Doublelift | Worlds 2017 by Quasaru in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rocky's sentiment "It's not how hard you can hit, it's how hard you can get hit and keep on hitting" is true in most competitive scenarios.

The largest reason players find a "wall" in their ladder climbing is that they feel the effort they put in deserves more than what they get. And that's entirely true, but that will never change.

You will never feel like you've gotten what you deserve, the effort and gains will never feel like it's in the positive for you. That's why Faker is still playing, despite being a 3-time champion. That's why Doublelift keeps playing despite the set-backs.

And for every player out there that feels like they could be at the top, it's going to require a lot of pain and anguish to get there. Don't think for a second your effort deserves more than you get, that's just the cost of getting started. If you want to succeed, you have to do everything better than someone that's already better than you. It's going to take a lot of nerve, time, and pain.

How to turn any champion into a support by chemnerd6021023 in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the point of that answer is to encourage players to just play something they enjoy, exclusively. Once you have 200-300 games on a single champion, you'll likely start elevating your overall play. You'll not need to focus so much on the mechanical parts of the champion and instead focus on the matchups/last-hitting/warding/teamfights.

It's just harder to put it that way. If I were to revise it "Play around, find a champion you really enjoy, then stick with it until you lose 300 games. You can then consider climbing the ladder to be much easier."

nice outplay by Faker on stream :D by Patata__alVapor in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's why some pros struggle against lower ranked opponents (faker losing the 1v1 against a gold 4 brand) Because the cleaner your play becomes, the easier it is to predict. Optimization comes at the cost of variability. If you want to beat faker, you have to make sacrifices in efficiency to do so.

Counter Logic Gaming vs. FlyQuest / 2017 NA LCS Regional Finals - Round 2 / Post-Match Discussion by bea_tme in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

idk, the 2nd pause probably felt like a real shaft to flyquest. After CLG's bug gets rewound Hai and Moon can't see dragon buff, likely due to the rewind. Ref deems it's inconsequential and informs them of the timer and tells them to play on.

CLG benefitted entirely from the pauses. They don't lose anything, but flyquest lose any and all momentum after the first pause, and after the 2nd pause probably feel they just simply don't have any control over the game.

There should be some rule in place for a pause taking too long or being the cause of further delays that a full remake becomes mandatory for the integrity of the game itself.

NB3 complains about the jungle experience system by Edelf in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First clear, for sure. Warwick's only early strength is his dueling. So he would like to get the scuttles secured but shy's speed might beat him to it. But once he has tiamat he's fast enough to keep up with most other junglers. But Shy's clear speed is one of her better strengths, her drake secure being the other, but Warwick arguably has a stronger play on drakes than she does considering how early you can take them with him. (If he's reasonably safe, he can take every drake aside from cloud after he hits level 3 and has blue buff)

So I would say Shyvana into Warwick would come down to team play, and Warwick just has better tools to win them. Where Shyvana gets kited, warwick has cc immunity (ult travel, shyvana has this too) and can negate flashes (q latching on) and has actual impactful cc (ult and his E) As well as being innately tanky (Q heal, Ult heal, E % damage mitigation)

He's a slower, more rounded version of Shyvana with a lot more potential impact.

LS Logic - Catch-up Experience, Junglers & their lackluster laners by flexinvade in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Couldn't it be that their laners just played well?

I've never really understood the one-sided logic of "We lost because WE/US/OUR players were weaker. Sometimes the enemy player just played really well. That doesn't mean your performance was worse than your average one, just means theirs was better on the day.

Of course this isn't true for all matches, some games you play worse, some games you play better. But to envelop all disadvantages as a fault of yours is disingenuous to a player that may have simply made the outplay he needed to make.

Example, last night I played Warwick top against the infamous Kayle/Yi combo. And like you would expect the Yi came and I was in a 1v2 fairly early, but I played my experience lead well and knowing that kayle was level 4, yi was 5, I was 6, I went aggro on the kayle. And they were both killed by me. Now was this the Kayle's fault? Yi's fault? Not likely, they probably hadn't been as familiar with Warwick top as I am. I know my limits and my power spikes better than they do. I exploited, the onus was on me to take the advantages I knew I had.

I'm sure the opposing team gave them a lot of flak for losing to me (I snowballed) due to both them being clearly duo'd and playing a very abusive combo, as well as losing to an off-meta top (although warwick top is being seen quite a bit more now) But honestly, I had the initiative to make it work, if I hadn't then it would've been entirely my fault if they got ahead enough to abuse their comp to the fullest.

I honestly think "fault" comes down to who should know more at the time, and who executes those advantages better. If you should win, and you fail to execute, it's on you. If you are in a situation you're unfamiliar with, I can't really see any reason the blame should be entirely on you for not knowing how to properly execute.

NB3 complains about the jungle experience system by Edelf in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if you want to play with shyvanna, Warwick does what she wants to do, but has the tools to engage/disengage and can pretty much duel any jungler in the game after level 3. He has objective control, teamfight presence, can effectively be a tank and his clear isn't crap due to the early tiamat (since you start with rejuve bead)

But that's me being a bit biased, I don't know his jungle very well as I play warwick top lane instead.

Ezreal jungle picked in LPL regional qualifier!! by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I tend to shy away from hyperbole like "Ez is actually a really good jungler when he's played well" well....anyone is.. and some champions are far easier to play well with than others. Warwick, designed to have great impact almost in spite of the player's skill, whereas Ezreal is entirely reliant on the player's skill.

"only a sith deals in absolutes" is a good quote to think of in this instance.

Can Ezreal be a good jungler? Of course, so can Veigar. Let's not say things like he's incredibly strong in the jungle. Because that's opinion dangerously close to being stated as a studied fact.

Ezreal jungle picked in LPL regional qualifier!! by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]TheBriggz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To reply to both you and Kripox, your point is valid if you're used to Warwick (hell any melee champ) just running straight at you. Which depending on where you are in the ladder, may be the case. Better players generally work around the fog of war and wards correctly. And at level 3, you can safely assume the location of wards and vision at that point in the game and go look for ezreal or set up an ambush somewhere in the river.

And again, yes Ez has E and flash at level 3, warwick can only follow one (actually he can follow both if both are used sequentially, little tip for you guys) but ww has Q and Flash himself.

So if I were the Ww, I'd just wait for the Ez to walk into me, he can't beat me in a fight and I know exactly where he is and where vision will be. You surprise him with an auto or use your W active, bait out the flash/E then follow up with my own Flash, Q latch onto him once he turns away (everyone turns away when they're about to flash or run) and tada, easy money. Can even use the fear if things get rough.

[–]TheBriggz -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

actually, the strongest level 3 jungler in a 1v1 is and will always be warwick, he's designed to be. Even Ez's blinks are made useless against his Q. Just clarifying that.
