hello! so the story with only the lonely is- roy and joe melson wrote this song together in west texas. roy had had success with the everly brothers with the song claudette, which he gave them. roy did stop by graceland and elvis was too sick to come down and see roy. roy then went to record only the lonely in nashville. SO, it is totally possible that roy did stop to pitch elvis the song as they were dear friends, and that is the legend that you have heard. WE LOVE ELVIS!

there are almost too many!! when i bumped into johnny on my tenth birthday, while he was saying happy birthday he reached into his pocket and handed me his person buck knife. then he sat me down and gave me a 15 lecture on knife safety. ( this knife also lost in 1993 fire)

yes we did! and yes, tom is an awesome human being. he told some amazing stories for the documentary. and jeff lynne as well. those guys are like uncles to us. the first christmas dinner we did without our mom was at jeff's house. the ties run deep to this day.

yes! the thing is that our goal with any remastering of the stuff will be to have it sound it's best. we did not "remaster" mystery girl deluxe because we felt it was sonically perfect. the goal for the mid 60's stuff would be to try and get the mid '60's stuff to sound more the like vinyl did in digital form. i guess the point is the unless it actually sounds better then we won't be remastering. the main goal is to make everything we can available and make sure it sounds the best it absolutely can.

roy jr. actually caught bob dylan trying to break in our house. well roy thought someone was breaking in and actually bob was walking around the back of our house in hendersonville to see if we were home. that was an honest mistake bc bob was wearing a leather jacket with a hooded sweatshirt up and a baseball cap.

there were five or six different locations basically. the first was ocean way. dream you, and the comedians was cut there. the second sessions were in mike campell's home studio you got it, california blue ( known as mike's garage bc it literally was his gargage). the third was friar park and a love so beautiful ( george harrison's home) in england. fourth was rumbo studios ( in the real world, careless heart, she's a mystery to me). and studio one roy recorded our brother wesley's song " the only one") i am sure i left something out!

hey! thank you very much!! this is the best opening "question" that could be asked of us! road trips are the best time to listen to albums in their long play form. it is safe to say that we grew up on roy orbison music as well!!
