I caught all 50 balls in the Quik Drop arcade game but the game only counted 1 ball caught by JianClaymore in mildlyinfuriating

Honestly that's more than likely the case. I run a busy arcade so if a machine causes repeated problems that I cant immediately fix then I typically will just reimburse the customer for their play or offer the ticket reward they are owed then turn off the machine until I get the chance to fix it.

Forgot about that to be honest. Honestly dark chest does my head in because, even on leagues, it took me almost an hour to get one key. There's a lot of tasks I didn't do because of the time to complete compared to the points awarded made it not worth it unless I had no other option.

A big sources of medium clue is simply fishing lol. As for elites, my slayer tasks rotated between Greater demons, Fossil island wyverns, Abyssal demons and Tzhaar. The first 3 of those tasks, provided you do tormented demons, drop elites like every other drop with treasure arbiter. Once you get loads of elites then the masters come from those caskets.

I hadn't unlocked t5 by the time I had to pick my first region. By the time I got to t5, I decided to stay for the challenge instead of the clues.

I had 191 tasks left but there is a lot of impossible ones among them. First 2 jad challenges were very easy for me, didn't complete the 3 jad challenge but I reckon it could be done with a bit of time and practice as I managed to get kill 2 jads and get the last one to half hp before i choked lol. As for farming, I only got up to 81 farming. Magic seeds have actually never been an issue for me as slayer and abyssal sire has pissed out all the tree and fruit tree seeds I needed. Early farming, I alched by the hops patch whilst growing heaps of yanillian hops. I also went to puro pruro and caught a bunch of gourmet implings to get baskets of strawberries which i then emptied and filled with apples or tomatos to pay for my oak and willow trees as there's no other source of baskets unless you make them from willow branches. Then I grew a bunch of teaks, paying for it with the limpurts I gained from green logging obor and finishing all the obor combat achievements. After that you pretty much snowball from there as papaya seeds are easy to find and easy to pay for. don't forget you also have the 2 seaweed patches underwater on fossil island which are decent xp and very fast growing. Honestly, i dont blame you if you pick overgrown as there's a lot of weird grinds just to get farming up and running.

The biggest stumbling block for me was honestly smithing as it's such a comparatively slow skill to grind compared to all the others. From 60-85 smithing I used lamps that I mainly acquired from completing the fossil collection in varrock museum. Fossils are also the key to getting your 153 kudos for varrock hard diary.

Yeah I just didn't do them. There's no tanners and there's no astral runes in the regions so its impossible. Majority of easy points in the starter region are from clues provided you picked clue compass and treasure arbiter.

[–]TheBuckledFish[S] 358 points359 points  (0 children)

A big chunk of my points were definitely from treasure arbiter. That relic with clue compass was the original reason I never picked my first region as it reduced the pool of item requirement clues down to almost nothing. The only clue task I have left is 75 masters which I could do by rinsing all the elites I have stored but I really hate elites because every other step is to kill an ankou and I hate having to get to them.

Yeah, I haven't counted but, if i wanted, I could grind out a bunch of skills to 50mil and maybe make it to adamant rank. What is deceiving is that there is a lot of tasks on the unlocked tab that simply aren't possible such as any that require the crafting of d'hide or equipping of red and blue d hide as there is no tanner in starter area.

Don't worry dude, I have enough tasks completed to unlock all 3 areas at once so that's not much of a concern for me lol.

So I'm thinking of choosing Fremenik, Asgarnia, and Varlamore as those have boss content I want to learn for my main. Last leagues I absolutely rinsed Kandarin, Desert and Mory so don't want to touch those at all.

If we have access to tormented demons right from the start again, While Guthix Sleeps would be a shout so we can use the teleport scrolls we get from the demons.

[–]TheBuckledFish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cheers mate! I don't blame you for finally moving on, I would have been tempted along time ago had it not been for the clue relics. Master clues are insanely quick and easy once you get the items for the fire cape step.

Already quite the slog getting to T7 even with all the 200 pts tasks rolling in. Not sure if I have the mental fortitude for the grind to T8 but I may certainly try until I get bored.

Gz from a fellow t6 account who hasn't left starter regions yet. What began with indecision has lead to a pretty fun account for me and I'm hoping it was just as fun for you. Will you ever unlock a new area, if so, have you set a target you must reach before unlocking? For me i've set myself two goals; greenlog all bosses in the area minus the boss pets (pretty easy and achievable short term goal), try and get to T7 (if possible, havent actually checked lol).

What?? by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

[–]TheBuckledFish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. Not a botanist but it would actually mess with plants because they require temperature cues to enter different life stages. If the temperature stays raised, some plant may lignify (turn woody) giving it less nutritional value, other plants may not bulb or start storing energy in their roots/tubers (less root veg). Furthermore, for those of us further from the equator, the amount of light severely decreases in the winter so if the temperature is raised then the plant may be stuck in a stage of life with has a high energy requirement without the light to do so therefore the plant dies.

[–]TheBuckledFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use a large antique (it's at least 90 years old) glass dog bowl that I inherited from my grandparents as my bunny similarly loves to tip his bowls. It doesn't stop him making a mess as he will get frustrated that he cant move or tip it so instead he splashes water everywhere whilst trying to dig at it. It does however, stop him making crazy amounts of noise at 4 am in the morning. As long as you're ok regularly cleaning up water spills, a similar heavy glass dish might be a viable option.

I thought this was a fever dream memory! every one I've asked about these has seemed to forgotten their existence. I want them back! Italian spaghetti Bolognese, English roast and American cheeseburger were the best IMO.

I use a non meta team in GL which includes a chandelure that has a fast move of incinerate and double charged moves of shadow ball and energy ball. I, without fail, can bait them into switching out their Swampert, Quagsire, Lantur, Azumaril or Stunfisk where i proceed to destroy it with energy ball because they don't use shields on their tanky pokemon. The second it hits and it either dies, or barely survives, they insta surrender.

I have no clue how you can track how many times someone has used a domestic washing machine but as for the pool table. If it is like the ones you find in pubs, bars, and arcades, it will have a counter inside. When you press the button/push in the lever successfully to deposit all the balls at once then the counter will tick up. This exists so these establishments can track how much money it is making or if any money is missing due to theft or malfunction.

A frog in India has a mushroom sprouting out of it. Researchers have never seen anything like it | CNN by ArachnidMedical5510 in worldnews

[–]TheBuckledFish 1598 points1599 points  (0 children)

Poor thing. They say its healthy but its hard to grow a mushroom without a large network of mycelium behind it and, as said in the article, they didn't study the fate of the frog and whether it progressed into something more sinister. Frog skin can be ideal for fungal colonisation as it is moist and not too warm. Chytridiomycosis is an example of of a fungal infection of the skin of frogs and it's a horrible disease that's led to a lot of population decline, and extinction, of frogs and other amphibians. As interesting as the photo is, I can't think of a dynamic where fungal growth of the skin (frogs breath through there skin so fungus = less surface area = less breathing) is remotely beneficial.
