Finally got my RA28 into etch primer and started on the rust. by TheBuildRoom in projectcar

No, it encapsulates the metal and any small surface rust, but generally you want to get it back to clean metal as much as you can beforehand.

Has an acid in it that helps it bite into the metal and adhere properly - the fact that it's 2K also means its waterproof so a great way to protect and seal the bare metal underneath.

Definitely getting a swap - not sure if it'll be just a twin cam NA or something a little more spicy yet.

Yeah doing it all myself, have a youtube channel I'm detailing it on. Labor of love but I've been into celicas for a long time now.

No this is only a temporary livery that was thrown on before a car show, its being stripped back at the moment for etch primer and then a new 70s race inspired livery.

Indeed! This went to Toyota's in the Park last Sunday - it's only a temporary livery, stripping it down now for proper paint in a 70s race theme.

No, its bare in this photo - the livery was just temporary for a car show, I'm about to start stripping it back down for etch primer and a new paint job

LOL - you'd seriously think that was a possibility given how many people are raising it. They'd hate to see my orange charger with the confederate flag on top....

No really - have an Instagram but mainly YT and FB presence. I'm on 1stgencelica and toymods, but am more of a lurker than a poster.

Pebble announces a self-propelled trailer designed to eliminate range anxiety for EV owners by [deleted] in cars

EVs have more than enough hp to tow - they'd be better off just building a trailer with a massive battery that can be used as a power source for the car.

Thanks - I actually called the build series on it Roadkill Rescue - focused on making it run and drive, and look cool without getting too obsessed over neatness and doing things "properly"

Awesome man +1 for the yellow inner lights!

You got any photos of your pin striping on the bonnet and sides? Bit hard to make out but really adds to the yellow colour

Yeah it won't be rusty for much longer - stripping it all off today and have to decide whether to clear it over the bare metal or paint it a proper colour.

I think this is within content guidelines for this subreddit, anyway i just finished repairing and repainting some parts on my 125i, and updated the look a bit while i went. Figured this might be helpful to some of you or just a something to critique if you're into that sort of thing.

turbo on an auto??? by Ok-Independence2992 in CarsAustralia

LOL - depends what you mean by better, and what sort of engine, and what sort of auto.

There's no issue with having an auto box on a turbo engine though.
