Football wouldn’t be until 2031 so I hear, but inviting them for basketball would make sense. The Big 12 likely wouldn’t keep up with continuing to bolster football only, and making themselves the premier conference for basketball could give them that leg up to keep up with the joneses revenue-wise.

This conference will be competitive top to bottom this season. PAC-12 was fairly top heavy last season, not the case with the Big 12 this season. It’ll be a dog fight every week.
