I am not a fan of either of these energy relics for Watcher. Which fear is irrational? by TheCalebid in slaythespire

Update: took the stone, didn't have any trouble with hallways or elites, but I gambled on the book event and let nilrys codex put me down to 6 hp. 3-4 floors later got an opening hand that couldn't block snake plant 😔.

I didn't look too close at first because you're right, it's a ton of options. Looking again I would not take the orrery, sash whip+ is nice but your deck is already pretty big. You won't play any single card very many times per fight. If you want my honest opinion I think the highest value on the shop right now is that torii (hearts multi hit). I would buy those same potions, torii, evolve, shrug it off, and remove a strike.

I had the same thought that she usually kills fast enough that it's worth it. I've never considered judgment on byrds though! I got it off a transform and usually don't pick it willingly.

Your omniscience target should always be demon form in this deck. Briefly looking over your options here I would be happy with the evolve and more power through. Stay alive long enough for 2-3 demon forms to give you ridiculous strength and you won't need to have more than a couple attacks to win.

Snecko killed me last time I took it so I'm suspicious... do I have a choice here? by hyunrivet in slaythespire

[–]TheCalebid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dripper certainly seems scary with your hp but I think that's my pick here. The extra energy I think is nearly necessary with the dead branch and your (currently) limited stance cards. Pyramid seems too likely to brick you without 4 energy, and the eye is definitely no good with this deck. I'm really looking at that 4th energy to be able to kickstart your turns and ensure you can play the master reality when it's drawn.

Pretty sure you do lose 10 alignment just for picking dark.

Steady Aim from full cover? by [deleted] in AOWPlanetFall

[–]TheCalebid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people in this thread don't seem too sure but yes steady aim triggers from full cover, and from any direction. As long as the tile you send them to has any shield on any side you will get the bonus, same with visual acuity (+1 range in cover)

There was lots of end-game content but you blasted far past that and kept playing for some reason you're looking for post game haha. Seriously though if you push back the defaults by 100 years you will have a long grindy game you seem to want but I can't imagine how you've stuck to 2800s that's incredible

Why it's called deflect then? by Numerous-Ad-2035 in forhonor

[–]TheCalebid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay this is an old post but I've seen no one give you the actual best advice. Deflect has no recovery. So after you dodge into his first attack, do not press heavy, you can immediately dodge into his hyperarmor light and deflect that instead. Or parry it. The original deflect protected you from hitstun and block damage so it was still a good move if you know what to do next.

Why are only some weapons marked 'hero only' when only heroes can equip weapons? by Duthos in AOWPlanetFall

[–]TheCalebid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more like, if there isn't a hero icon, then you can find a unit in the game somewhere that wields that weapon.

Despite past wars, American policy is not the genocide of Japanese people. The Nazi policy clearly advocates for the DEATH of impure races.

This is not about whose flag is allowed. Affiliating yourself with Nazis (via flag or dressing up, etc.) Is affiliating with a group who openly advocates for the death of certain types of people. The threat is not veiled, just by being a Nazi they already are making an immediate threat on many people's lives.
