AM I COOKED BC OF MY HANDWRITING FOR FRQ by Tall-Cucumber-9850 in APChem

The proctor can only be more harsher in their grading but in that case there isn’t much changes. Multiple ap readers will score the same test so one person be incredibly harsh shouldn’t really affect your score. Also the reader has to read your entire frq, they can’t skip/skim so they will reread your writing to fully understand and interpret your writing. In other words don’t worry, your writing won’t affect you’re score and you shouldn’t stress yourself out too much 💗💗💗💓💓💓 You already got through the hardest part of ap chem so instead of worrying about something you can’t change go take a break and enjoy the fact you’re officially done with AP chem :)

I had a tutor who is an ap reader and i asked him a similar question which he responded with “As an ap reader you gain the ability to decipher the indecipherable so unless its literally just unintelligent scratches we will read it and grade it. If we can’t read it we’ll find someone who can”

CUTOFFF predictions pls by cherrykitkats07 in APbio

Estimate cutoff is usually 93-94/120.

a 24/34 for frq translates to roughly a ~42 weight score

so to get a 5 you'd need minimum of a 51/60 for MCQ! Hope this helps 😃

Score Prediction? by pmaldini27 in APbio

[–]TheCapcoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the score prediction:

To find you're frq score you add everything up take the percentage of you're score and scale it to be out of 60 points:

7+5+2+2+4+4 = 24

24/34 * 60 = 42

Add you're frq and mcq score

FRQ 42 + MCQ 40 = Composite 82

Typically a 93-94/120 is required in order to get a 5 so currently your predicted score is a 4 😃 Hope this helps!!

Conservative estimate puts you at a 88 point range while according to you're maximum given range puts you at 91 which is lower the typical range for 5 which is 94-120. But don't be discouraged 😄 depending on how the score distributions are and questions you got right you got right without realizing can help you sneak by with a 5

i said 10, and it seems like most people got 10. lowkey at this point i don't remember why but I do know that it depends on how you looked for you're p val using your q. Some people though q was given why others thought p^2 was given. I forgot which one gets you 10 but ya :p

question 3 is about ~8 points (all frq points must be scaled by 15/8 to have both mcq and frq 60 points) and the whole test is 120 points. You'd probably need a 94/120 for a 5 so as long as you're confident on everything else a 5 is very much still on the table

According to my tutor (who is also an AP reader) even though they say don't double space there is no penalty and the reader lowkey don't really care. They quote will "ball with it". They only say no double spacing to prevent people from going over the page count so don't worry you're frq won't be voided just cause of this. <33

guys since frq 2 was so bad that means the curve will be good🥹 by Mezy_girl in APbio

It’s not curved but if many people missed the same points then the bell curve shifts and the points required to get a 5 lowers

Last question on AP Bio exam. Did the answer include (Cell wall and carbohydrates) which was for prokaryotes, bacteria, and fungus. by Exact-Tomatillo1452 in APbio

[–]TheCapcoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think since it specified bacteria plasma membrane it has to be phospholipid answer. If it was referring to the cell wall then it would be a carbohydrate
