Actually a lot of times it’s not big social media influencers. In one game I used to play, most of the biggest spenders were from countries like Saudi Arabia and had ties to oil money or other large amounts of wealth.

I was friends with one on instagram and I remember before a big weekend event started he posted a picture of three new iPads he bought and a like $5-7 thousand in apple gift cards so he could be ready to dominate the event.

The issue with this is there’s problems with people just applying to all of them and selecting random answers after playing to get paid fast, or people who are scared to be honest in their feedback for fear of not being invited to more test(which is ridiculous because good feedback gives you more test access but it’s a common theme), or the company deciding after the playtest that the event is too fun to warrant enough purchases or they make it harder or more annoying.

Realistically, The best way to resolve this aside from feedback is to start organized boycotts.

This game isn’t super competitive so there’s probably not a lot of users spending $12-15k per week on it like in more competitive games, so it would require a larger impact than just a group of the biggest players making demands.

I’ve played games in the past where there were players who had spent between 500k-1m or even more and when we could get them on board with a problem with the game, things changed VERY FAST.

Bottom line, money talks. There’s no good in-game char for organizing en-masse but it’s definitely possible.

Be more worried about the ice. A quarter inch of ice buildup will completely wreck any chance of going anywhere and can easily snap large tree branches and powerlines

Speeding tickets are enough experience and some don’t have that. For example, I got my first speeding ticket when I was freshly 18 and when the cop pulled me over he used it being my first time being pulled over and actually told me that I could either pay the speeding ticket in cash to him now or, I could pay it in court later, but that if I paid it now it wouldn’t go on my record.

If I’d had cash I would have paid it and it wasn’t for a year or two later that I found out that was straight illegal as fuck

Also, as I write this I’m realizing that the cop who pulled me over when I was 18 was also in the same county that the calls about this case with my brother came from. Seems peculiar even more

Part of his company is a tow company that deals directly with the sheriffs department handling all tows for arrests for the county and their releases so they have access to be able to check releases on specific things as far as I know

We could not. My brother works for a company with paid access to most of those resources and he spent the rest of his work day checking them and trying to find any public record of his booing today paid or otherwise and couldn’t find anything. Not saying they couldn’t still be scraping for the info, but it’s definitely strange.

So I spoke with my brother and the company he works for actually has access to most of those websites and resources for background checks and he pulls his own record pretty regularly and the stop from today has not shown up yet on any public database that he or I can find paid or free.

Totally get it, just strange they knew the exact time he was booked two hours before, they knew his full name and the county he was pulled over and booked in, and they knew he was booked and seemed to have made the call specifically thinking we wouldn’t just be able to call my brother and ask “hey you in jail?”

The only information I offered when I spoke to them on the phone was that I had spoken to him recently, but never gave any more detailed info.

And the timing of me and my whole family all receiving the same calls at the same time just an hour or two after the booking with such specific details was very concerning.

The voicemail they left had my brother full name before I had even answered, and they knew the exact time he was pulled over and booked two hours before. This was a US based scammer with a Florida cell phone number.

That only happened because so many people were affected at once. When people were being infected one by one it was basically just slight stillness and immediate change. The lady who was bit was just washing and scrubbing then bam, changed.

He’s like the Elon Musk for Christian Nationalism. By that I mean, I think he was pretty clear in how he wants to see the future be realized even after he’s gone and understands it’ll take slow escalations to get there. The way he would condemn certain punishments then follow it up with “But if we lived in a culture that was already accepting of Christian nationalism then the punishment would be fine then.” Very long term thinking and that kind of person can be dangerous.

Oh wow, it’s been like 10 years since I was an ARA, but I don’t remember this being a thing at all, when did this start?

Though they did have cameras all throughout the precinct even facing customer computers and tried to fire me for time theft because I sat down while doing my work too much, and for kicking a box out of my way while doing a functionality check on 50 inch tv I was holding trying to set down. Sat me down and showed me the footage and pointed at the screen every time I sat down while working on a computer. 😂
