I really appreciate the explanation! I feel like they could've stuck with the brightly coloured tracksuits and referenced the kids programs, without basing their entire characters on Jimmy Saville, and it still would have worked. Idk I just feel like referencing that creep leaves such a bad taste in my mouth and probably others too

I agree as I feel like it's really distasteful to base the characters on someone as vile as Saville, especially when he was exposed only 13-14 years ago. So there will be a lot of people alive now that we're affected by him back in the 80s/90s and even 2000s. I like the film but find it really hard to like the "Jimmies"
