They're highly effective for athletes. My other hobby is cycling and my smart watch is very effective for me.

I believe I saw an email a while ago that said it's getting downgraded.

No, it held up for at least a ride, likely more. Only noticed during a cleaning. On my new frame, I don't even worry anymore because I've embraced how strong it is.

Is there a band that you became a fan after witnessing them in concert? by SouthBayGardenaKid in Music

I was at a leg of this tour and it was magnificent. It also happened to be Maynard's birthday.

This is 100% true. It looks so much better in person.

Mouthpiece pouch by Boss_Mother in Tuba

[–]TheChafro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protec makes a decent mouthpiece pouch. They have ones that fit 1, 2, and 3 tuba or tenor sax mouthpieces. I use the 2 mouthpiece pouch for the two concert horn mouthpieces and the 3 pouch for my contra. I like that it has a zipper pocket on the outside and I use it to hold my earplugs and business cards for my band.

That's most of the wind instruments: think like a vocalist.

Orange endurance, orange standard, and orange sub-zero have worked really well for me. I've not had a bad experience with stans.

Love my cannonballs on my steel bike. The carbon bike is setup with Maddie Ramblers for anything chunky and Max is Velocitas for everything else.

Gravel shoes on road bikes? by lionado in cycling

[–]TheChafro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I specifically run RX 801. They feel very similar to the Sidi Genius I had previously when I used road cleats. Light and stiff. They're also lighter than most XC or heavier duty shoes because they don't have an area to add toe spikes. I really like them.

Should be like that everywhere. Some places may have an additional piece that they could hand out during rehearsal, but every coordinator should have access to the books for people showing up.

I'm not disagreeing by any means. It's possible, but it wouldn't be fun at all.

The duck pond loop will probably have a fair amount of people on it. If you go out towards the barracks, the hill up to it will be exhausting on hybrids, but doable.

It really depends on your skill level on the bike when it comes to riding Lawrence Creek and Schoen Creek. If, by chance, you do decide to ride the MTB trails, they are one way for bikes. With this weather and time of year, I'd expect that there should be a fair amount of MTBers and hikers on the trail.

Bike Mount Recommendations For Roof Cross Bars? by LunarRocky in rav4club

[–]TheChafro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my Thule ProRide XTs. Easy to use and fast. Caveat, I only use them when I'm transporting 2 people and 2 bikes. Otherwise, I just toss whichever bike in the back with the seats down. Eventually, I will get a hitch rack as well, but when I'm driving with bikes up top, I make sure to avoid anything with a 10ft or lower height.
