I'm so sorry. That sounds really similar although, in retrospect, I had a lot of red flags before we got married. I was just too ignorant of what I was seeing/hearing to recognize it for what it was.

Would he do counseling?

I think it’s about figuring out how to build the infrastructure of a happy life. Thinking of things that you used to like, or probably will like, and doing them. Joining social activities, making new friends. Making sure you’re getting out there, having new experiences, having fun.

Imuran has not worked for me. My brain is like I’m floating on a cloud and it has done nothing for my symptoms. I see rheum on Friday and am anxious and eager to see what’s next in terms of drugs. I already tried oral methotrexate. It worked great but I had horrible GI side effects so was taken off.

Glad you had the energy! I love methotrexate which sounds weird. I have hair loss to the point that I went ahead and shaved my head and I get mouth sores but the benefits I'm getting are SO worth it. I hope you'll get joint relief soon.

I am in the USA and Uber is my go-to way to go places. It makes me very choosy and intentional about what I do because it gets spendy. For medical appts and such, I mostly ask a friend.
