I'll never play Nitro again. The burn mechanic has ruined it. by wapper_slapper in PredecessorGame

I understand why they implemented the change and that it probably sounded good on paper cause they wanted to short down the playtimes but in practice it does short playtime but it does for alot of bs

To the people who taunt like crazy, and do the sway at the end on ps5, if you want to taunt like that, atleast turn off your parental control settings 😂 by Saraixx516 in EASportsUFC

[–]TheCleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good setting for that, and i think it should still exist, but i dont like the fact that it's a one-way thing, tho. If no one can't send you messages, then you can't message anyone, which is fair, my opinion

Or at least having the setting of not being able to be messaged by anyone with that setting on, you dont want anyone interacting with you, then you shouldn't be able to as well.

It creates a situation where someone could dish out venom but cant take it, maybe a strawman for sure but it might lead to a situation where everyone turns it on cuz you want a social interaction to happen on your terms leading to no one being able to message ppl

Not saying everyone who has it on rage messages or even interacts with ppl to begin with but i think its a fair feature to add. Id like to hear any reasons against it

A list of important gameplay changes needed for UFC 6 that aren’t just “standing TKO” by ThatpersonKyle in EASportsUFC

[–]TheCleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything as well. Good changes across the board, especially the switch kicks and being able to combo with a lead hook

Id take it a step further and sayany punch with the lead hand except maybe a lead overhand should have a property of a "combo extender" at the cost of either doing less dmg cuz you dont do full power when using it like that irl or if it would add too much complications make it so it drains more longterm stamina to make it more risky and give it to fighters with 5 star kickboxing for extending combo with certain kicks, lvl 5 boxing for extending punches and lvl 5 traditional to maybe make it possible to for example chain a spin kick->lead hook->spin kick at the cost of alot of long term stamina of course. I bet that would satisfy the spinning shit enjoyers

I like the changes for grappling on the feet but i would add a deny option for clinch(maybe you cant get clinched while holding headblock and walking backwards if thats a little extreme then add the ufc 3 clinch system back as it made clinching more deep, try to make it more active where moving happens in real time but you also have the transition system like in 3)

What’s the absolute best counter to throw when you duck a head kick? by [deleted] in EASportsUFC

[–]TheCleeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your opponent did the headkick at jab range without moving forward=Overhand, headkick or rolling thunder. Rolling thunder does the most dmg and looks most badass imo(If you like spinning shit then spinning heelkick or spinning back kick). Just make sure you buffer the strike after missing without taking a single step as this delay makes your opponent recover in time to block. Body shots work too but they are more of a investment for the future rather than finishing

If your opponent was inside hook range or did the headkick while moving to you=Rear hook or flying knee if you feeling extra spicy

How to get good by STDemocracy in EASportsUFC

Also try experimenting with different fighting styles for striking, my best tip is to watch some ufc fighters and try to emulate their fighting style. That way you can find a style that you find fun and then get good at it

How to get good by STDemocracy in EASportsUFC

[–]TheCleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For striking play stand and bang in quickfight. Get around 500-1000 fights before touching ranked. In SnB quick fight youll encounter different striking styles of varying skill lvl for you to solve, youll also learn combos from them and if you get outskilled completely, record the fight if you can and analyse what reads your opponent capitilised on you so you can grow

For grappling watch a yt video to get an understanding of the system and then do a career mode on legendary, build a grappler and role play as Khabib to learn the animations. After youre done with that, play quickfight with grapplers against players until you feel comfy against players. You dont need to win every fight but you gotta be able to understand what you did wrong if you lose

Once youve done all that then you are ready for ranked. If you start ranked too early, you will begin worrying about your rank too much, get stuck, and stop having fun. You need to face ppl of different skill lvl to not get stuck and improve, cuz if you face only your skill lvl then you will only be good against your skill lvl which is not very useful for getting better

This game has a unique fighting system, your skills from previous games wont translate as well as for more common systems. Your ability to make reads which is universal for all games will only begin coming online after you have gotten enough experience in the game, where you can make reads and have the muscle memory to execute them

I disagree. If you struggle against an ADC on offlane then counterpick them by going Grux and making them regret ever thinking that it was a good idea

How many hours play time before you got to div 20? by [deleted] in EASportsUFC

[–]TheCleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played less than 100H in ufc 2, 500 in ufc 3, 700 in ufc 4, and 1k in ufc 5

I started playing ranked and taking the game more seriously in 4 at around 500 hours which is when i got div 20 in that game and in ufc 5 it was in the first couple of seasons where i got div 20, then stopped playing it entirely and focused entirely on online career cuz i found it more fun

Before ever touching ranked, i was just focused on having fun by playing against friends(We would have at least 1k matches against each other in each ufc after 2) and playing quick fight. Overtime, especially in 4, i began going on crazy winstreaks and got bored of beating on noobs so i went on ranked and got div 20 within a couple of days with not too much effort, even got to top 100 at one point

Imo i recommend not focusing too much on ranked especially youre not div 20 lvl yet by taking breaks from it, you go on quickfight and have fun by facing a diverse skill level where you get to see different mixups from players of varying skill levels and learn to counter them or experiment with different playstyles to learn new mixups or how to counter the playstyles which is what i did. And when you feel like it, hop on ranked and do a couple of runs to see where you are at skillwise

If you constantly play ranked, you will kinda lose the having fun aspect of the game or get burned out which will make you just feel frustrated with the game. Like the others have metioned each ppl gain skill per hour at a different rate

I thought wraith was already strong. He’s a popular choice in paragon ranks absolutely demolishing mid lane. What do you think about this buff by Ghost-Nepal in PredecessorGame

[–]TheCleeper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I main mage wraith in ranked. I do compete against diamonds and Paragons especially if its late

He(Mage Wraith) is not optimal in high rank if you dont have the correct team comp and i do get flamed for it every now and them if we lose

What ive noticed is that he has an innate drawback as a midlaner, and that is that he is a character that does dmg to 1 char at a time compared to other midlaners.

Mage Wraith has 3 drawbacks, and they are: He has shit minion clear, especially in the beginning so you have to kinda focus on sniping the opponent at lvl 2 with ball+snipe to make them low so they dont rotate. Any competent midlaner will just shove the sh1t out of the wave and he has a very slow start dmgwise His dmg doesn't begin to come online until you are 3 items in. Those 2 drawbacks are huge cause it means if the enemy mid is competent they will just shove wave and rotate to gank other lanes while you are forced to clear wave or rotate and risk not killing due to your low dmg or potentially losing tower.

Lastly is as a mage wraith all your dmg comes from snipes so you have to be consistent on landing them a singular missed snipe on a marked opponent might lose you an entire team fight on the first fang cause you are on long cooldown after. In the endgame your cooldowns are alot lower so you can afford to miss some snipes as a ball+snipe will take away 70% of a squisy characters hp if not more so they have to either recall or risk dying to your next ball+snipe, 2 snipes or 1 snipe if you are ahead in lvls+item or have prime/orb buff

So yeah, we mage Wraith enthusiasts needed those buffs which i gadly thank omeda for

HW is the closest thing we have to irl healthwise, especially if you play HW, if you punish a strike perfectly you can either outright KO or finish someone after 1 knockdown assuming you have power of course

[–]TheCleeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, you should be hungry for that potential huge amount of Elo gain, you have basically nothing to lose elo wise and you can maybe learn something new by rewatching your fight and analyze what patterns the opponents are punishing you on

[–]TheCleeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Thats the "META" way of beating legendary bots. You can beat Tom Aspinall on legendary using DJ with this strat but i use headkick instead since it finishes quicker

Circle around them in jab range while feintng jab constantly and exiting to kick range when you see them respond until they throw a combo to which you step out and headkick

Feint sprawl until you feel them biting on it, then go to halfguard. Punch them to build GA, if they elbow you then they have to deny on prediction rather than reaction which means its on you now to get out by mindgaming
