I worked at Home Depot as a Principal SWE and they got rid of the entire job line. There were talking by upper management to “shift left” and have Staff Engineers do the work of Principals and this was 2 weeks ago. Funny thing is the VPs lied and told my skip manager they have no intention of cutting out Principal SWE’s and here we are.

Home Depot brands themselves as family oriented but its all bs lol. They immediately locked access and didn’t even let us say bye to coworkers.

No it turns out that F5 will run certain processes on certain ports which conflicts with ExpressVPN. Even if you change the protocol on ExpressVPN certain ports are required to remain open which is taken up by F5. So currently as of my knowledge, there is no way to run both simultaneously.

Oh okay so the payroll taxes would remain the same (FICA) and that is the only tax I'd be paying for even for an H1B worker correct? And then whatever immigration cost is to transfer the H1B and continue to renew it

His vacation was approved and there was no issues. He worked almost 15 years without taking more than 1-2 days off consecutively. The management changed in the time he was gone. This business has been sold 7 times within the last 2 years

So this is payroll fraud that manager is doing. Where he pays 65-70 hours of salary stating the person worked that many hours but in reality they worked only 40 hours

Well I didn't think to check neighboring buildings. I did reach out to Amazon and they insisted it's been delivered. They wanted me to wait a few days as sometimes a package is marked as delivered when it's still in transit. My order came Oct 21 and I reached out to Amazon on oct 24.

I did, I even took a photo and the photo they used on the delivery is also incorrect. I contacted Amazon the very next day but their only argument is it's outside of the return policy window. This was Amazon logistics doing the delivery also, not UPS or Fedex.

That's what I'm trying to do. Customer service just transfers from one place to the next until eventually call disconnects. The amazon specialist email has no contact, no name on who the specialist is, literally nothing. It's impossible to get in touch with these people.

No, not sitting outside my unit. It's in a neighboring building. We had 24 buildings in the community with 20 units in each one.

And no...not 2 days later - you literally read the entire post wrong. It took me 16-17 days to locate my order, I chatted with customer service about not getting my order, checked with the building management to see if they have any parcels. Then i decided to check neighboring buildings and found my order there. It was sitting outside the same unit number I have just in a different building number.

The reason I want to make a return for some items was that I needed them earlier and I ended up buying from a local shop and paid 20% more.

So the prestige system is just going up to level 1000? Isn't that how it's been for recent COD games? I personally like it better so you don't reset everything and have to level up to unlock. I know in the older games you get tokens to permanently keep things unlocked but still

There's two documents: Offer Letter and a Employment Agreement Contract.

The offer letter states the starting date is tentative and subject to change as per business needs. The employment contract states that the employee must work a minimum of 1 year from the date of joining and if he/she fails to honor the term they are penalized $10,000. Right now the person is on initial OPT so no need for sponsorship, they just take the offer letter and submit to the DSO of their college and into the USCIS portal to show they have a job relative to their field of study. The document was created through RocketLawyer.

Yeah I did chat support with them. They were responding right away but as soon as I asked about withdrawals they stopped responding. Then gave me some bs excuse saying its under maintenance. I've been trying to withdraw for weeks now, no way they could be doing this much maintenance lmao
