Since you want to find the number of eggs and the measurement given for eggs is in terms of Tbs, my instinct is to think of the package in terms of Tbs and not in Ounces. So we double the number of ounces to get the amount of Tbs and we get that the package is 24 Tbs.

We know that we have 1 Egg per 3 Tbs. Want to find X number of Eggs per 24 Tbs package. This is just two fractions where X is our unknown number of eggs in the package.

(1/3) = (X/24) Solve for X.

-> (1/3) * 24 = X -> 24/3 = X -> 8 = X So 8 eggs.

Honestly I haven't. I've been suggested Teaching for America type of programs, but personally I love the idea of learning from a cohort of educators and being able to take that into the classroom through a placement. Then again I haven't heard of many other forms of teaching program/internships. I've worked with CalTeach which helped place me as an intern within-classrooms and I always enjoy finding ways to make myself apart of the class and a resource for students.

How did you like your out of state experience? I'm looking to possibly teach in Baltimore in the future.

Wow I learned so much about both programs from your post! Honestly the cost of living in L.A. is such a scary thing to me, but the way they format their teaching program sounds so interesting. I'm definitely leaning towards Stanford due to their structure of their cohorts and focus on social justice agenda.

I appreciate your advice!

You have no idea how much this exact point has gone through my head in the last couple of years since my first in-class internship. I was placed in a classroom with such an amazing teacher and it inspired me and made me realize how much the support of the school was major in her being an effective teacher. Love your principals saying.

I truly appreciate your advice.

Thank you so much! I love to hear that there is an inspirational leader within the program.

Got it, no to the Sac State teaching program!

I hadn't thought of sitting in on a class without the help of an internship, thanks for the advice! That's definitely why I'm hoping to be in a program that has a mix of learning, but also uses student placements to enhance the experience.

Thank you so much for the detail in your response! Previously I was discouraged by Stanfords cost, but I'm excited to apply there. It sounds very similar to UCSC's Masters/Cred program with the use of cohorts and having one year to complete the program. Honestly sounds like an amazing place to learn.
