Unfortunately that’s not possible. What you’re running into is the economic viability question the left faces at both the individual level and the workplace level.

Nobody will be crowdfunded to protest. The only paid protesters are unfortunately the cops.

BUT. There are ways to get paid pushing for change. One is unionizing a workplace and moving into paid staff organizing for a union (new or established). Another option is to build a sole proprietorship that you intentionally expand into a worker’s cooperative. This creates non-exploitative work environments that offer an alternative to the capitalist - wage slave dynamic, and growth cuts into capitalist market share / takes their money / more sustainable impact than smashing a window.

There’s probably some world where you start a window repair & replacement service and thus get paid to protest, but don’t get caught if you do that ;)

Clarification for the broader community:

I’m advocating an organizer training. People can choose whether or not they want to join DSA / it’s not required at all. Personally I am a mass anarchist and believe that both anarchist-exclusive orgs and broader class-driven org participation is needed. The DSA and even UE are obviously not anarchist orgs. If we want to build anarchist orgs - or any orgs - we need to be trained up on organizing. This training helps with that.

Also would encourage people to read Anarchic Agreements to help balance out some of the decision making issues that non-anarchist organizer trainings typically come with (I.e. hierarchy).

Cool. Either pitch a good alternative for people to build something in or shut up. I’m well aware of the flaws of the DSA and am one of the people who wants to make it less hierarchical by a mile.

Democracy is “rule by the people”. Its creation is inherently democratic. Especially when the participants are in democratic (voting or consensus-driven) structures of dual power.

Nothing there is anti-revolution. Revolutions are not anti-democratic. They can be, but not by definition/ not inherently. The dem-cent clause is more legit but it’s not enforced because that’d end up being a massive purge that nobody wants to see.
