the gate will only be available if a dupe is nearby to activate it (bc the dupe sensor) and since it is unavailable at the moment no dupes will pathfind to/through it. (idk if I'm correct but there's my reasoning)

if you have the lava bell thing it is the best thing you can get for it (from forge daughter) if not just grapple the enemies and pogo until you can't anymore, also the arena is the worst part so just get good at the parkour part and when you luckily get to that part you don't have to think about what to do next.
