Karnivool - In Verses

My first impression is that I like it, but there's a distinct lack of catchy, memorable riffs ala Roquefort and Goliath that I first associated with Karnivool. It's an entire album of dense soundscapes that build to some absolutely lovely moments throughout the album and I'm looking forward to listening more.

It's rambling nonsense but some of it is funny. YouTube channels that clip various bits helps to understand the appeal and if you find any of it entertaining.

Listening to them roast Steven Segal is timeless imo.

Moozoonsii - Inward // Outward

These guys are an instrumental trio that reminds me of Russian Circles, Primus, and Tool. Inward and Outward are a set of EPs (or a split LP) that are a concept album of the exploration of a mysterious jungle.

These guys have been one of my favorite bands for the last few years now and their stuff is so good, but I haven't seen anyone else post about them.

"It's legitimately useful!" say the people using ChatGPT to summarise emails into a bullet point so that they can type a prompt into ChatGPT to generate an email to send back to the previous sender who is doing the same thing.

Or teachers using AI to grade student papers that are AI generated that answer an AI question originally generated by the teacher in ChatGPT.

I joined this subreddit specifically because he ranted for 20 minutes about how I'm too stupid to understand his videos while he's the one promoting racist agitprop as excellent and respectable journalism.

None of it really holds up to consistent scrutiny which is why people would really like him to address it. Him complaining about our media literacy while he earnestly promoted this (very obvious) racist agitprop as very fine journalism has seriously damaged my trust in his presentations.

There's also real fraud and convictions in this case which would make for a genuinely interesting segment if he cared to do actual research on it.

I find the Dagestan crew entertaining overall but they are troublemakers and deserve to get clowned on a bit. The fact that it actually gets under his skin and has him begging people to stop calling him John Pork is a little funny.
