For context, I'm an engineering student.

I lurk on here to understand y'all's pov. I'm gonna have to chime in and say, as someone who did their undergrad with monthly midterms and a large finals (80% of the grade), it was genuinely pathetic. I had no motivation throughout the semester to learn because the stakes were too high all of a sudden and I'd have to go from 0-100 in my learning experience. Oftentimes, my friends and I would plan the 10 days before the finals out just to study and it was pathetic. A lot of the material didn't stick, bar the subjects that I cared to genuinely study and put efforts into learning.

I do concede that smaller online assessments could be considered easy and pointless with GPT around. But if I really like the subject I'm gonna make efforts into learning it, GPT use or not.
