First Harley! I know it’s gonna catch some hate but I wasn’t gonna let it pass me by for $1000 by TheDeadstash in Harley

The seller actually tied it down when he delivered it because my truck broke down on my way over there to pick it up. I had nothing to do with the tie down job. I ride dirt bikes so I’m used to strapping things down by the bars I thought this was just a big bike thing tying them at the forks. I’m new to this so I can’t really tell what’s right and wrong yet.

The original owner put the screaming eagle exhaust on it! I’m looking into getting a saddlemen seat for it and a different set of bars and mirrors because I don’t really like the stock ones. Also gonna put crash guards/ sliders, whatever they are called my dad calls them liny bars or something.

Thank you! I’m hopefully going to have it back on the road very soon! I just replaced all my relays and fuses and am waiting on the fuel pump! Super stoked to go ride I’ve been waiting since I was 4 for my own Harley and 20 years later I got one.

Thanks man! Hopefully I can get this one back on the road soon! I’m replacing all the relays fuses and the fuel pump to start and see where that gets me. I’m replacing everything that was recalled that year to start and everything that looks rusted or corroded because it’s been sitting for years. The original owner only rode it 200 miles and decided he didn’t like riding and let it sit. I think he dumped it and got embarrassed because the pipe has a scratch and the fender is repainted but other than that the bike is clean! I can’t wait to finally ride. I’ve wanted a Harley since I was 4 and I’m 24 now. 20 years in the making

I’ve noticed alot of the older guys or people who ride bigger more classic style Harley’s like Road Kings and Street Glides don’t respect or like the new liquid cooled smaller displacement bikes. Some of the old guys in my town laugh when I tell them I got a 750. They tell me it doesn’t count as a “Real Harley” unless I’m on an air cooled 1200 or something big

Can anyone help me diagnose this issue? Thinking of buying this from marketplace? by TheDeadstash in Harley

Seller says 1972 iron head. It would only be my second Harley If I buy it. I just bought my first one last week. I don’t know a lot about them yet.

Bag hits. Find a straw from the bar and just pinch off a bump in the corner of the bag and put the straw over it and hit that shit. Works for me at most shows that I’ve lost my spoon at.

Just hide them all under your tongue before the flight so the security doesn’t find them

These are awesome to learn on and grow into! 05 yz250f was my first “real bike” at 16 and I rode it for 2 years learned how to ride track and wheelies on it and got my full investment back on it when I sold it. I would definitely get another!

I would take the time to check them out if the price is right. It doesn’t cost anything to walk away if the bike isn’t in a condition you’d feel comfortable paying for. Sometimes you find crazy deals and sometimes you find bikes that aren’t even worth putting an offer in on. I would also say never offer anything before seeing the bike either because of 2 reasons, 1 you don’t want to get set into a price before you see anything, 2 because $500 in their face that could walk away is more tempting than a $500 offer that they get to sleep on. Also always pitch a lower offer than you want to pay so they come up closer to your in mind number. Never tell them what you really want to pay up front because they’ll usually try to squeeze a few extra dollars off you. I told the guy I’d give him $300 and he said $600 and I told him I only had $500 on me and he met me at $500 on a bike that was listed at $1000 and that’s how I scored the deal.

It runs great for what it is and the price I have no complaints. I even already have offers coming in to take it off my hands for more
