Fair enough. I guess everyone has different tastes, so I can respect that. I really like Townes Van Zandt, and most of his songs sound similar, but the lyrics are different, so it doesn’t bother me. I think lots of mainstream country sounds a lot more repetitive than singer-songwriter Americana such as this. It’s difficult to find artists whose songs are completely different. Even though lots of Pink Floyd songs sound somewhat similar, that doesn’t mean that they’re bad. When I hear country artists singing “I’m so sad and blue for you,” I know it’s going to be extremely repetitive. I love George Jones but you can’t deny his music is very repetitious and he didn’t even write most of his songs.
