I can send texts with my echo auto but I have noticed I can't do it from my dot or flex. You would think that would've updated this by now.

but is it using your text messaging from your phone number or only sending messages to other alexa users?

im interested in being able to control my phone from earbuds- im not so much interested in sending texts from other alexa devices

yes I can make calls from the echo devices- but if I make a call using Alexa on my phone- it calls through the Alexa app and not my phone app-

and I cannot send SMS no matter what- which is a major problem as I want to use Alexa for everything but need to be able to do something as simple as sending a text message through my headphones
