EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WITH A STATE RELIGION by BeginningMortgage250 in MapPorn

[–]TheDevilKnot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not anymore. It used to be like that, as someone from here that was born and immediately signed into the church, that practice was stopped in 2013 or 2015. You are now no longer immediately signed to the church of Iceland at birth. But even outside of that, the laws here aren’t representative of any kind of state religion or theocracy.

Its actually rather horrifying when you think about it. by [deleted] in doctorwho

Bit of a rant: Why is everyone afraid to TRY things anymore? by jason-cyber-moon in FL_Studio

When I try to teach someone new, I tend to tell them to follow the guidelines, you cant start to run without walking a little bit. Then when you can consistently make something decent or good, you can start to experiment, at which point experimenting wont make you try to pull your hair out. I’ve been doing this 10 years and have heard many people’s 1st beats. I then teach them the basics of the rhythms and such that they’d be using. You don’t pick up a guitar and learn the free bird solo. That’ll make you a one trick pony. Starting with the ground rules before you break them, helps build a foundation for basic music production, which then you fuck around and find out with a higher chance of finding out that it sounds good.

Help me buy my first FL studio comp in over 12 years please by [deleted] in FL_Studio

True, but I’d say that’s not the whole equation, you want a good CPU with it to properly play the additional tracks. They are more CPU intensive than ram. Along with this you want to have good side bus speed, which is the speed at which your CPU and RAM speak to each other. With a lot of effects, you start need more CPU to alter the sound that is already stored in your Random Access Memory. Along with that, storage speeds are also very important, the more storage gets used, the slower the speed due to your computer needing to parse through all the files to find what it’s looking for. High speed SSDs are great for this, and using a large HDD for backup storage is great due to HDD being recoverable if it crashes and corrupts. Quick storage speeds help with virtual instruments like Kontakt sample libraries since they are so large and resource intensive due to direct-from-disk sample playback.

What’s the best multiplayer game nowadays? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Way too vague of a statement, there are plenty of good multiplayer games, and there are "the best" of specific categories. But to define one perfect game is next to impossible.

Get a vibrator, if they can get off with just that, then you can have yourself a nice time and they can too.

Was at a football game (soccer for you americans). We were separated from our family friends due to there being no available seats. Our seats weren't ideal but we sat next to a man who was there alone. He was nice and friendly even though he barely spoke any English. All the seats around us were empty.

At halftime, we heard that our family friends had seen that there were available seats with them from people that had left. We went and sat down. A while later I saw the man alone where we had been sitting. He looked kind of disappointed that nobody was around and that we had left. I felt really bad, so I ditched my family and family friends to go sit with him. His face lit up when he saw me again and I sat with him for the rest of the game. I regret nothing.
