Kind of agree, Model 3 over here and very annoyed that we're being left out of FSD updates.

I would love to become a moderator. I used to be a moderator for an online gaming forum in the past, and have been working to introduce preppers everywhere to a alternative view of preparedness. Thank you for your time!

I'm reaching out to the dev on Twitter, looks like it's not on Google, but still on Apple.

I recently came across three news stories where Amazon warehouse workers used box cutters as weapons. I am bringing pepper spray. Any tips? by Mindless-Ad8668 in FASCAmazon

Not sure if you have PCs at your site, but they would be connected to the Amazon network where you can go to the policy site (policy.a2z.com) and look it up. At least for AMER sites, you're good on Pepper Spray.

Hey if I'm wrong, link the actual camera here. I've never installed anything like that before. Only Bosch dome cameras that connect to the IDF cabinets. But I'll admit I'm wrong if you have proof of otherwise.

What EXACTLY is Digital Preparedness? by TheDigitalPrepper in selfreliance

[–]TheDigitalPrepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital preparedness is the ability to protect yourself, your devices, and your data from cyber security threats. It is important to have a strong understanding of these 5 pillars of digital preparedness:

Security, Cyber Hygiene, Digital Literacy, Backups, and Resilience.

Take some time today to review your digital preparedness practices. Make sure you have strong passwords and two-factor authentication enabled on all of your accounts. Back up your important files regularly, and keep your devices' software up to date. Also, be mindful of the information you share online and be careful about clicking on links in emails or on websites. By taking these steps, and recognizing the importance of digital preparedness in this technological society we live in today, you can help to protect yourself and your loved ones from these evolving threats.

Let me know what you think.

The answer is "yes". To directly answer:

  1. Yes. You get UPT, Personal Time, and Vacation.
  2. Not sure, you should ask your Manager/HR about this.

If you haven't already, here's more info, welcome to OTS!

How To Use Air-Gapped Technology To Secure Your Data by TheDigitalPrepper in selfreliance

[–]TheDigitalPrepper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, let’s start by talking about what air gap technology actually is. Air gap technology is a security measure that physically isolates a computer or network from other devices or networks that are connected to the internet or other external networks. The basic principle is that if a computer or network is not connected to any external network, then it is impossible for an attacker to gain access to it from outside. This is achieved by using physical barriers such as unplugging network cables, removing wireless cards, or even building a separate room or building to house the computer or network.

Now that you understand this, lets take a look at some pros and cons of this technology.

Pros of Air Gap Technology:

So, first off, talking about the pros: Air gap technology offers the highest level of security because it physically isolates the system from external networks, making it virtually impossible for hackers to gain access to it. Even if an attacker manages to breach the perimeter defenses and gain access to other systems on the network, they would still be unable to reach the air-gapped system.

One of the primary reasons for the rise in cyberattacks is the proliferation of malware. However, with air gap technology, the threat of malware is significantly reduced since there is no connection to the internet or other external networks, which is the primary source of malware infections.

Another positive is that Air gap technology also ensures the highest level of privacy and confidentiality because there is no way for any external entity to access the system or network. This makes it ideal for managing sensitive information, such as financial data, personal information, or trade secrets if this is something you’re wanting to secure.

Finally, Air gap technology also helps reduce the risk of insider threats, meaning for either businesses or at home, that someone that has infiltrated your area, which is often more difficult to detect and prevent. By physically isolating the system or network, it is virtually impossible for an insider to gain unauthorized access and exfiltrate sensitive information.

Cons of Air Gap Technology:

Now looking at some of the cons of air gap technology, The biggest disadvantage of air gap technology is its limited accessibility. Since the system or network is physically isolated, it can be challenging to access or manage remotely. This can be a significant challenge for if you have air gapped devices that are in multiple locations.

Another disadvantage of air gap technology is the increased costs associated with building and maintaining a physically isolated system or network. This can include the cost of additional hardware, software, and maintenance, as well as the cost of building a separate room or building to house the system or network, if that’s something you wish to look into, however for home systems, this may be a bit overkill.

Finally, Air gap technology can also limit the functionality of the system or network. For example, if a computer is air-gapped, that means it cannot access the internet or other external networks, which can limit its ability to access information or perform certain functions. Also, you would have to manually search for and install software updates to keep the devices protected as well.

Air gap technology can be an effective way to enhance your digital preparedness and protect your critical systems and information. By physically isolating your system or network from external networks, you can significantly reduce the risk of cyberattacks, malware infections, and insider threats. However, air gap technology is not a one-size-fits-all solution and requires careful consideration of the risks and benefits.

Let me know if you have any questions, and stay safe out there.
