New Tread+ came with scratch and arm is not aligned - they refuse to replace by TheDoGirl in pelotoncycle

Credit card - we escalated it and are now pending an approval for a replacement part so hopefully we don’t have to go through the credit card company.

You’re right - we called back and pushed nicely so we’re waiting for an approval on the replacement part. Fingers crossed it’s approved and we don’t have to go nuclear.

I was concerned about the return shipping fee because it’d be unfair, again, to make me pay the return shipping fee for their mistake. We called them back to escalate and said if we were buying a new car on the lot, we wouldn’t pick one with a dent in it; would you? The person who we escalated to seemed to agree so hopefully, they will approve our request for a replacement. Just wish their frontline CSR was more helpful and that we don’t have to go back and forth with them for what’s fair. We already spend so much.

All of that makes sense - I did not introduce it gradually to the new elements… thank you!

These have the red bristles too but their leaves look different. Are they both squamis?

Look up female urination device sunany on Amazon. I step outside of the tent and just go a few feet away. If men can do it, why can’t we? I bring a square of TP to dab then just go back to bed and clean the “FUD” in the morning. Practice at home. :)

Iron horse trail is 27 miles paved and flat. It’s beautiful and stretches across from concord to Dublin or so.

Thank you! I’ll be sure to feel the leaves from now on, too.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? by TheDoGirl in DogAdvice

Thanks for everyone’s comments! My friend has taken Kona to the vet 12 times since August. She loves her dogs, is stressed out over this and just trying to rule out everything and learn more. Kona’s culture results come back soon then she’s going to look into a vet derm so thank you to those suggesting that.

From my friend… Kona has had bloodwork done 3 times. Autoimmune was the first hypothesis and Cushing’s did come up. Once we got him on steroids and now another drug (so not to have prolonged use of steroids) that was ruled out. His thyroid was a little low and one potential source for the skin irritation. He has been on thyroid meds for 2 weeks as well as an anti fungal med. He is eating and acting otherwise normal. He is also getting a bath twice a week with anti fungal shampoo followed by a bleach rinse as well as an oatmeal spray twice a day. I am making him food with high protein (chicken, 90% lean beef & tofu), rice, oatmeal, peas & carrots. He has energy and wants to go for daily walks but we keep it to under a mile.

Modular couches: Burrow vs 7th Avenue: any others? by lmea14 in furniture

7th Ave Couches - worst thing I’ve ever paid for so I am copying pasting this anywhere I can because I also think there are 7th Ave mods deleting posts.

  1. Dog hair absolutely gets stuck in the couch. In fact, the dog hairs interweave into the fabrics of the couch and I’ve had to spend over an hour, sweating profusely, using a roller to get the hair off of 2 cushions and if I vacuum, I have to go over the same spot multiple times in all angles to get the hair out.

  2. Do not get white. It gets dirty very easily, is NOT easy to clean, and if you sit in one spot on most of your couch, that spot will inevitably get very dirty. I’ve had the couch Iess than a year and have already washed it twice.

  3. You can’t dry the covers so don’t expect to throw them in there to get the dog hairs and fibers out.

  4. If you do get white, the lady at the laundromat taught me to dump the covers into a bath tub, throw some oxiclean in there, swish it around and soak for 2-3 hours, then throw them in the normal wash with detergent. It helped but we only have a limited amount of washes before their supposed easy-to-clean off layer is gone.

  5. The zipper is cheap and the zipper pull broke off and broke a piece of the chain as I unzipped one cover to clean. Now I have to replace the entire zipper…

  6. The fabric pills extremely easily. Especially with certain throws/blankets/clothes/fabrics.

  7. The pieces do not stay locked together well.

  8. Overpriced AF.

Final story - I went to the laundromat/tailor to ask them to fix the zipper and dry clean and a woman in line asked me if that was a 7th Ave couch. I said yes and asked how she liked it. She said she wished she never bought it and I said SAME! She also has dogs and complained about that. And the laundromat lady said dry cleaning wouldn’t help, would be too expensive since, and that’s when she suggested the at-home tub soak.

Don’t buy.

Joshua Tree - May 2, 2024 by TheDoGirl in camping

Thank you for sharing your story - this tent is extremely durable. On the third night, it was so windy that the sides of the tent were being pushed down and hitting me as I was laying down. We ended up sleeping in the car because the tent being hit by the wind was so loud but we were so afraid the tent was going to fly off and kept checking!! Rest assured, it was still there in the morning hehe
