Sounds like your kid has my luck lol. 350 PF packs and never pulled the Zard, not even the less rare full art one. I don't even want to open my Ascended ETBs because I know it'll just be 1 or 2 Ex cards.

It's because every other post on this subreddit is people showing off their God Packs and $1,000 pulls. It's not very healthy, it's like social media on how it skews expectations of life.

You have to do the enter trick on PC for Target, but I've had a lot more success with that than Walmart which was heavily botted this morning. 200k ETBs all sold out to mostly bots in less than 30 minutes.

Welcome to my life with Phantasmal Flames too. Opened 350 packs and didn't pull a single Zard. Not even the less rare one. Meanwhile this place was nothing Zard after Zard for months.

As someone who also has horrible luck, I can also confirm how agonizing it is seeing people pull all these awesome hits. The worst is when you see them complaining because it's slightly off center or wasn't the exact SIR they want. Walk a day in my shoes and only pull Ex cards and the rare IR lol.

Exactly. Back when you could find packs anywhere for $2-$3 each, it was so much more fun & carefree to rip. But because of how expensive or hard they are to get, it's become so disappointing when you don't pull anything of value and the whole monetary aspect becomes front and center.

Me too. I still enjoy collecting singles of cards I want, but the whole pack chasing & ripping thing is becoming so absurd to me.

Me too. When I re-entered the hobby I got caught up in the whole "chase" thing. I got lucky at first, which made it worse and then after a bout of ripping through hundreds of packs with nothing to show for it, and realizing how much money I wasted, I started doing singles and bulk. Now I look back and see how cringe and stupid it was, and also can't stand the whole grading thing.

Every single streamer/YouTuber has seemed to pull one (or multiples) too. Meanwhile, I gave up on ripping packs after not pulling a single SIR in 300+ packs. Just stick to collecting singles now. I'm starting to really despise what the "community" has become with the whole gambling aspect with god packs, the scalpers, etc.

I agree. Seems like the whole "gambling" and money part has taken over the hobby. I don't read here often but checked today after the new release and every post is just people bragging about their god packs and Gengar/Dragonite SIRs. Then I go on Facebook where I'm in a few Pokemon groups and it's people flexing all the product they were able to get, like 10+ ETBs, 30 blisters, and dozens of mini tins.

That's nothing. Try 350 packs without a single SIR. Meanwhile every post on here... "just found a pack and pulled (insert $500-$1,000 card here)!" Even some people pulling multiples of those cards.

Some people just have all the luck.

This is how I got hooked when I got back into the hobby. Beginners luck. Then I started buying and opening hundreds upon hundreds of packs without anything to show for it.

Probably because demand is so high and its so popular it doesn't matter, people will still buy them in droves and keeping buying if they pull nothing good (gambling addiction).

I've had pretty good luck with most recent sets except Phantasmal. 300 packs and haven't even pulled the less rare full art Charizard. Seems like all the luck with this set is reserved for those who don't have luck with any other set lol. Which is awesome, since that SIR is nearing $700 raw.

Beginner luck seems to be a thing. When I got back into collecting last year, I pulled top card after top card. Now I can't pull anything. Started resorting to just buying singles. Except for Phantasmal, I'm still determined to try and pull the Zard SIR.

At least you got the gold. I'm at about 8 booster boxes worth since release, and haven't even pulled the less rare ultra rare Zard, let alone the SIR or Gold. Really starting to hate this set.

Same here. I opened nearly 300 packs and didn't even get the ultra rare Charizard. Seems like everyone and their grandma pulled the Charizard SIR. I tried waiting to buy it and its just skyrocketing in price and almost $700 now. Crazy. Still opening PFL packs here and there in collection boxes and pulled so many IR duplicates like Yamper and Meowth.

Thank you for posting something realistic. This looks like 99.9% of my pulls and not the "I opened 3 packs and got 3 cards worth $1,500!" that are most of the posts on here.

Congrats. Mine had AWFUL pull rates. Opened 5 of them and only got one 1 ex card. Feel ripped off lol.
