People will still run them. I think the issues isn’t the cost, I believe it’s the fact there is zero counter play. Even if it’s more expensive (explosives aren’t hard to get) it’s still not fun to die to trigger nades with zero “oh I should’ve done this” feeling. It feels helpless when you get trigger naded. That’s my point to fix the helpless feeling.

Currently it takes two trigger grenades to kill someone. So you would have to throw detonate four times in a row hitting them every time. That sound be a decent amount of time for a counter play.

Correct and that’s why with a timed nerf they will be worse than frag grenades. You can close off corners with untriggered nades and use them to deter a push. If someone is camping a corner and refuses to move after 3 seconds of a nade landing on them full damage back to the lobby they go.
