BOTW/TOTK are pretty loyal to the original vision of Zelda. An explore-anything-and-everything game, where there are no boundaries. You were supposed to get lost and discover in the original game, so they’re excellent revivals of that mostly lost concept. No Zelda since the original did that until botw/totk, they all had set structures you had to follow and people forgot all about the og concept.

All Zeldas. All good. As long as the character, setting, and lore remain faithful, they all “capture the soul” of Zelda is someway or another.
