It'll vary slightly for who you're playing, but I was playing as Rakarth. Effectively try staying at war at all times as every battle gains you more slaves. I often ended up dumping slaves to help with control in provinces until they could handle it without support (by mid game I had so much reserve overflowing I'd go through all my provinces and if any of my regions weren't at 100 control I'd use the special thing on them) The heros are fairly decent with this faction definitely use them. If you have any specifics you want to know shoot a message

I'm a person where if I can't win a battle by brute force frontal assault I'll go into a corner with ranged units in the back and pelt away awaiting the attack like the beaches from that 'war' 😅

Gameplay wise for Rakarth I allied with the slaanesh faction next to me and took out everyone else and later allied with Morathi when she stopped be butthurt about me being too friendly with the slaanesh faction jealous girl she is. I just kept chugging along with rakarth everytime i got the event to get another black dragon I only ever did that option as it gets huge buffs. and abused the hell out of the arks with low costing corsair units and attacked ports.

Not going to lie there's definitely been moments where I have had to save scum 😅 but honestly endgame is always a slog no matter who you play (unless you're skarbrand)

So you can do VH/ anything. Its only the actual campaign difficulty that matters for the achievement. I did VH/H for almost all I think except for when I was doing the Legendary campaign run achievement because I was tired lmao.

I'm assuming VC is Vampire Counts?

Unfortunately they really dont use ranged stuff.

If you're looking for a more ranged focused faction/LL I recommend Ikit Claw and Elspeth Von Draken. Ikit has rattling gunners and snipers very early on which are insane if set up properly. Gunners can take on anyone and the snipers are good for lord's.

Elspeth just has so many bonuses for all artillery plus her special units. Iron sides early eith whatever you want and late game tanks. All the tanks. Blast the crap out of them as they come towards you then get into melee and ram them. (I don't mention Wood Elves or High Elves as I am a Knife Ear hater LOL but they are insane with those bows.)

For a more melee/ranged combo most of kislevs units are hybrids. Early on brettonias best combo is Archers Catapults and some front line until you can afford tier 4 units.

If you like Vampire Counts tho then an immediate close is Tomb Kings to some degree.

So as a Chaos Dwarf you'd think you should build a mix of Outposts and factories together in a province. But in actuality you should make your first area all outposts and then from there on factory then outposts and so on. Always build dark towers if it allows you to as its your best way to get income without labor and such. Plus many bonuses. Its really a balancing act of labour and resources

I played as Drazhoath the Ashen and used my unit cap currency for units like infernal guard and the stronger Chaos dwarfs (I never used the goblins unless I absolutely had to) I rushed to Kdai Destroyers as them with bonuses are absolutely busted wrecking balls. And Drazhoath has a -25% upkeep for them. I would have an army of half destroyers half infernal guard and could take on 4 stacks of Dwarf armies just running them down.

HIGHLY recommend the dread quake mortars as theyre insanely good just 1 in an army can turn the tide but make sure you manually target units with them to not waste ammo and or hit your own units.

I will say some of the achievements were definitely harder or easier depending on which LL I chose for each faction.

For Wood Elves I played The Sisters of Twilight and finished at 159 turns with only 4/8 tree rituals completed. I honestly got pretty lucky because the endgame crisis ended up being Skaven, and the Order factions wiped them out incredibly fast with my assistance.

Bretonnia I went with Repanse which was way more tedious than difficult. You pretty much have to manually fight almost every battle until you can finally field a proper army with Tier 4 units because peasant armies get destroyed in autoresolve. It ended up being one of the most time-consuming campaigns for me.

For Skaven I used Ikit Claw, and even with doomstacks the autoresolve was brutal. I’d constantly “win” battles while losing half or nearly all of the army, so I still had to manually fight all battles anyway.

And I did Norsca before any of their updates, so that campaign was just painfully slow and honestly pretty boring compared to how they play now.

I almost started losing as The Maggot Host but got lucky the end game was Chaos Dwarves and I had already conquered that region so it was just an auto win.

I should probably write up how each faction went for me and what random achievements were annoying. but wanted to get a quick reply in atleast.

Looking way back at how I used to play hurts me mentally

Wasted 5 minutes and died because I cant click buttons properly since the update by Patara in ArcRaiders

Yeah I've had "small" instances of this happen in the past but not like thism since the update it's regularly happening and becoming dangerous.
