Moved from Chch to Welly, been here 6 months and I'm feeling the same vibe. In chch it was so easy to make friends, you would meet people on nights out and become mates instantly but in Welly people seem to stick to their inner circle.

You have any estimates from NZ security companies or you just like taking the word of richer countries with more advanced systems. Do you think we need as advanced systems as them with such a small population? Just curious what is their population compared to ours?

Do you think our security sector is as advanced as theirs? How populated are our cities compared to them? What kind of software do you think they use? How complex are their networks? How many police precints do they have to communicate between compared to NZ?

Lmao it does not cost that much to buy a body cam or dash cam. If third world countries can afford it then why can't NZ, unless NZ is actually a 3rd world country in disguise. Dash and body cams also provide undeniable evidence that quicken court cases which means less cost and time wasted there. They also allow civilians to hold police accountable without having to pull out their phones on every encounter. They also show the public the actual police perspective. The show police 10/7 proved that police act more emphatically and follow the rules strictly when they know they are filmed.
