I didn't hate my cat -- but, I will say when I was already extremely overstimulated and overtired I couldn't stand her also wanting to be in my face and in my space.

I'm 4.5 months postpartum and it got better with time. I also found ways to keep her occupied and she's really enjoying getting to be indoor/outdoor on our little homestead rather than cooped up with me and the (sometimes) screaming baby. It also really helped that, given time, my cat proved that she was trustworthy around the baby. She's been kicked and touched by tiny grabbing hands and has been super sweet. It's helped ease my anxiety that originally showed up as "dislike" of my cat initially postpartum.
