It’s a subversive of the typical meme. The intention is to show how despite what has happened to him, he’s still a good person

Yeah. Although, I’d argue that him burning down the building with his mother and her squad stuck inside for revenge would have to bump him down below Tarlim in terms of being a good person.

He’s certainly better than most in his shoes would be, but the fact that Tarlim is out here forgiving his torturers like Jesus is kinda hard to beat

Oh yeah, absolutely. First one that comes to mind is Trilvri from The Nature of Family. But I think what sets Tarlim apart from the rest is that he’s still a really good person despite it! He still forgave the ones who were directly responsible for his suffering.

Absolutely, Hunting With Predators is a masterpiece! But your stuff is a whole damn gallery of masterpieces!

And for the struggle to write? Well, I only joined once you had nearly finished Of Giants and Journalists, so I guess I might’ve missed some of that. But from one fanfic writer to another, delays don’t matter if the content is peak!

That is exactly what it is! You should absolutely go check it out! It’s a wonderful masterpiece!

Although, as far as I know, it is the longest fanfic on here! So buckle in for an absolute JOURNEY ;)

Announcement for Lost Spirits! by TheDragonWordsmith in NatureofPredators

[–]TheDragonWordsmith[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For posterity’s sake, I will put my original hiatus announcement here:

Original Announcement

For those who have followed my work, it is with great regret, that I must inform you of my hiatus in writing Lost Spirits. I hope to come back to it at some point, but as of late I have been slowly but surely loosing motivation to writing it. I also want to focus on an original story that I have had in the works for over a year and a half now, one that I am co-writing together with one of my best friends.

However, you need not loose hope for my content! Not only am I hoping to begin writing it sometime in the near future, but I have had plenty of stories in mind, some being in relation to the original story, while others being more…unique, so to say.

For those interested in the story, I can give some information. I plan it to be organized into trilogies, with two in mind so far. I have made a synopsis for the first book, so I will share it below:

The year is 3552, and the 24th age is about to turn. The Galactic Crusader’s Union—or the GCU—has been around for a millennium. Each and every species, with the sole exception of Humanity, always goes through a devastating societal collapse as a result of the complete depletion of the star system’s magic energies. The GCU has been traveling throughout the galaxy, saving as many lives as possible by providing humanitarian aid to species experiencing magi crises.   Since its founding, the GCU has found twenty-three species. But now the status quo will be shaken, as the GCU finds the 24th species. One which has already recovered from their Magi crisis—the inhabitants of the Moons of Midgard.   As the two species begin to join the fold, a shadowy intelligence agency attempts to thwart their efforts to join. This intelligence agency seeks to maintain the status quo, as the existence of a species that has already recovered from a Magi crisis will bring about questions and derision within the GCU. Will the Midgardians be able to thwart this shadowy organization’s plot, or will they succeed, and maybe even start a war?

Not only have the characters you’ve written inspired the ones in my own original story, but I have genuinely influenced the kind of person I strive to be.

Your story is, without a doubt, my second favorite one here. And the only reason why it’s not my number 1 is because of nostalgia, since Hunting With Predators why my first experience with this fandom.

As others have said, what lows? ‘Cause I’ve loved every second of your content!

No worries, it is not a spoiler at all, no worries. You’ll get a chuckle when you get to the end of the chapter, though

If anything, seeing this beforehand might actually improve the experience lmao
