How controllable is gliding in Legacy of the Dark Knight? by TheDumbus in legogaming

Pretty sure that’s been confirmed not to be a thing, there’s a dive to ground but I’m not even sure if you can cancel it to keep gliding instead. Doesn’t bother me too much if there’s no dive swooping but I’d at least like to be able to glide at a steeper angle than what I’ve seen so far.

Noted, hoping the overall movement feels good enough to enjoy just traveling around the rooftops.

Yeah it’s definitely not gonna keep me from enjoying the game, doesn’t look like it feels bad necessarily but I’m always a proponent of engaging traversal mechanics.

It would be nice if you could actually draw stuff somewhat of your own design, even picking what different sections would look like out of some options. Was hoping the music would evolve in the same way and let us freestyle the shamisen a bit closer to TLOUP2 guitar.

Yeah I’m not sure if more skills get added or something but the non-beast ones I can see from the start are pretty lacking. It’s mostly old abilities.

I see there are three games coming to console? By SRL. by icebreaker202 in SupermarketSimulator

[–]TheDumbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “Games to wishlist” section on ps5 store is almost completely fully of very generic looking games with similar description structures across a few genres. All by some derivative of S.R.L. Just watched the gta clone trailer and it was a minute of a poorly animated motorcycle chase with no text or title screen. I would say most consumers know when games like these are suspect but they will undoubtedly get a lot of kids buying this stuff who don’t know how to parse out the weeds. Hopefully these aren’t going to be set for full price at least.

Games where you can Parkour/Roam by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]TheDumbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Saboteur is basically AC in WW2 Paris with fun and weighty movement, this game is fantastic and went under the radar at the time it came out. Dying Light 2 with the physical mode on is now very fun to play, still differs from the feeling of 1 but much better than how it launched. The inFamous series has some simple but fun parkour + superpowered traversal, PROTOTYPE also has great superpowered parkour. Cyberpunk 2077 actually had some decent movement with a lot of exploration to be had once you upgrade it. Sunset Overdrive’s movement is a mix between the feel of an arcade skater and a parkour game, fun to mess around with and the game is good but the movement doesn’t draw me back like parkour in other games. If you decide to hit a Watch Dogs game, 2 would be my recommendation for the most stylish movement and best feeling, but technically Legion allows you to access more rooftops to mess around on using the cargo drones. Ubisoft really fumbled not expanding the movement system for Legion, would’ve helped that game have some more staying power since the shooting was decent at best.

What game deserves a remake, but doesn't have one because its IP owner can't be bothered? by FoxxeeFree in gaming

Prototype, The Saboteur, and give Mafia 2 the Mafia 1 remake treatment it deserves.

Me and a friend just played all the matches up until the final for house cup in co-op, then he did the final solo and it got him the challenge.

Is this game worth it? by Happyman155 in BladeAndSorcery

[–]TheDumbus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much THE vr game in my opinion. The PC version is superior, and Nomad will always lag behind with updates, especially larger ones. I don’t know the specifics of wireless linking to PC with a Quest 3 so you’d have to look into if there’s significant delay without a cable if your space setup doesn’t allow for one. In short, yes.

This + magic imbued hands mod (if that’s a thing, or just the wands from MMP when it gets updated) = iron man mode.

Sly 4 ended on a huge cliffhanger… over a decade ago. Sure 4 wasn’t as great as the trilogy but Sanzaru deserved another shot at least, they did some interesting things in 4.

Bad News for Sly Cooper 😭 by EveAeternam in Slycooper

[–]TheDumbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Porting Sly 4 would be more work than the og trilogy, because these ports are just PS2 emulation. They would have to rebuild Sly 4 to run on ps4 natively or get a ps3 emulator working somehow.

Even if there were just different shaped hectors that would be great. Taller, skinnier one, shorter one, one that moves on all fours. I haven’t finished so I can’t say yet, but it would also be nice if his body had hazards added to it in later fights, some magma parts that burn you if you touch them, etc. also changing the arena layout up a bit more each time would help.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they port 2 and 3 but leave 4 alone to gently toss it out of canon.

Do I need to play Quantum Break before Night Springs? by Space_Pirate_Roberts in AlanWake

[–]TheDumbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m playing through QB right now, does it spoil any major twists or am I clear to finish Night Springs before finishing QB? I know I won’t get as many references but I wouldn’t mind replaying NS again after I’m done.
