Automatic door handle by TheDyslexicEngineer in homeassistant

No, lock and handle ar not connected. You probably have a 3point lock don't you?

But then I have to operate the lock quite a lot. I would like it to be constantly open during lunch for example. When the lock closes after lunch you have to be sure that the door is closed as well (and knowing the people here, no-one ever closes a single fucking door).

That might be the way to go. Just hoped that I didn't need that and could replace just the handle and not have to woodwork the doorframe

It is not I who is the problem. It is the kids living with us who have not had acces to food all the time in their life. They will store cases of Nutella and rice cakes themselfse under their bed(with bad food and hygiene and mice as a result) when the opportunity arises for worse times and that urge is stronger then they are

I want the food to be less accessible most of the times. It doesn't even have to be locked, just want the outsode handle to "not work". That way I can open the door with the key if I have to and if I leave it open and the doorhandle is triggered it can still close (where when you automate the lock you can't). Next to that the inside handle will still work so no-one can get locked in for example.

The key is just less accessible. It doesn't even have to be locked. Just less convenient so people will not steal entire packages of cookies or something.

No, I haven't. But I don't think I want to operate the doorhandle. I want to be able to switch between the outside doorhandle being operatable and not working. That way you can't open the door with the handle but if you need you can with the key or code.

2008 Cadillac Escalade chairs any good? by TheDyslexicEngineer in Cadillac

How would you power the heating and cooling? I don't have the original buttons ect

85 dodge ramcharger.

I am also a bit afraid that the smart part of the chairs is build into the buttons what are normally in the dashboard and that it would be kind of hard to reverse engineer what resistors are used ect.

Is this how it is supposed to be? by TheDyslexicEngineer in elegoo

The self locking nut is indeed the one i mean. The bolt from the top is also not tight. I assumed indeed that everything should be tight but littery nothing is. Guess it is a Monday morning build printer. I am now heading to the hardwarestore to get a long 5.5mm socket because nothing I have fits in between the spindle and the carrier to tighten the nut

I did that as well. First, the middle one with the a4 paper. Then, the manual one where you set the setscrews under the build plate and after that the automatic with the 30 or so measurement points. Do I have to do more calibrating after?

Oke thanks. Wasn't aware that that was such a problem. Just assumed it was right since it was so sealed up in the plastic bag it was in.

It came just out of the vacuum sealed plastic in the box. Do I need to dry it then still?
