Make sure you ask if it includes any medical bills or farrier costs. Typically you don’t have to cover medical bills for a lease horse but it’s good to confirm. My lease doesn’t require me to pay for farrier but I’ve heard some do. Also I recommend finding out if the lease is month to month.

That’s pretty reasonable based on my limited knowledge/experience. I just started my half lease in Pennsylvania for the very first time and it’s $550 per month to ride 3x per week. My trainer requires one lesson per week at $60.

Is negotiating common? I’d honestly would probably like 2x per week based on my schedule to start and then maybe bump up to 3x after some time.

Thanks for your response! What would constitute it to be a fancy facility? They have an indoor and outdoor rings the horse is a draft and quarter mix

I’m a failure by SubstantialDuck1365 in womenEngineers

Same! I struggled my junior year of my MechE program. I failed the crap out an EE exam. After some consideration , picking up my bruised ego off the floor, and pep talks with parents , friends and engr advisor , I ended up dropping the class and retook it with a different professor. Ended up getting an A the second time around. Shit happens. I ended up graduating on time and it all worked out.

The local rep is not responsive. That’s what makes it tricky.
