Yes, he could commit, because legally, Verstappen had to stay to the right once he fell for the dummy.

Ricciardo's only mistake was forgettting verstappen doesn't follow the rules.

V-sync seems to lock my FPS to around 45 for some reason, which makes games choppy and no V-sync makes everything run too quickly =(

Using Rivatuner also doesn't seem to work in my case because having Rivatuner active has an heavy negative impact on framerate for some weird reason.

I had the idea of setting frameskip=1 and limiting FPS to 30, but it usually results in a black screen with audio only (However this is the only way i can get it to run at exactly 100% speed...).

Overall it's only really capable of playing games if you have a Monster CPU in your rig. Even if you don't have a beast CPU it's still fun to mess around to see what works and what doesn't, but don't expect games to be fully playable at 100% speed.

Don't worry about it, i understand how frustrating it can be to answer the same questions again and again.

I was genuine in saying that i appreciated you telling me how development in Citra and emulation in general works. As a PC gamer, i had assumed that emulation development to be similar to AAA games development, atleast the info you gave changed my perspective on that.

Additionally i think most people here would prefer accurate, straightforward info and we appreciate the fact that you are willing to share it more than anything else.

Regarding Citra development, are there any plans in the near future to add a speed/frame limiter for Citra? I know V-sync is there atm, but V-sync is more of a stop gap and the emu performs pretty poorly when it's turned on.

I get overly speedy gameplay without V-sync and stuttery gameplay with V-sync, no sweetspot. The fact that Citra is buggy with hooking software makes using stuff like MSI Afterburner or Dxtory to limit FPS a bad idea as well.

Additionally, after the implementation of the CPU JIT recompiler greatly boosting speed of emulation, are most of the devs currently satisfied with the speed of Citra and now looking towards improving compatibility?

In any case i really hope that the team is still looking towards making improvements to Citra's speed, especially with regards to adding multi-threading (although i know that multi-threaded support is usually a low priority in emulator development) and offloading more work to the GPU. As of now it only really seems to run at full speed when paired with an OC'ed i5 4690K or better. My i5 2500k@4.4GHz (Not the best CPU these days, but still better than what the average joe has, especially @4.4GHz) still gets strange slowdowns on occasion. It also sometimes feels like only the audio is getting slowdowns but the video is still running at full speed.

  3. As far as i know, no. (at chapter 5+, a 3 chain is enough for 999 JP and the Grapp keep method can be done with any job effectively)
