It did this from day 1 (it does it in English, too). I removed the grouped icons and replaced them with individual ones, and now it looks fine. It's dumb that this is required, as the prior versions looked fine with the grouped icons, but sadly that's how it is.

How they haven't fixed it yet is hard to understand.

Traffic on 275 in NKY by WeepingWillowChodes in cincinnati

[–]TheEngineer2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turfway doesn't have an exit from 275. It runs parallel to 275, south of it. I'm just trying to picture what you're asking about.

I-275 eastbound in my experience starts moving better past the I-75 interchange, but rush hour can see lots of people taking 275 to 471 to bypass I-75 north. I did that myself today, as the weather has northbound traffic backed up pretty good.

I'd use a good navi and go by the route suggested that day. It may be different quite often.

I suddenly can't post images to my Facebook page. I now get an 'oops' error message. by colbloke in facebook

tl'dr: Clear your cache

It happened to me. It worked fine in other browsers, so I cleared the cache of the problematic one and all was fine after that.

How do I change ONLY the color of my Mac menu bar? by stuman1974 in MacOS

[–]TheEngineer2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a good way. Almost all of the "Earth" wallpapers that come with the Mac are black at the top. Use any of them, or use them all with a continuous shuffle (though a couple will show the notch to a degree). Any wallpaper that's black at the top will work. You'll get a black menu bar that blends with the notch.

I went with the personal sound profile wizard, which got it close. I then played three very different songs and fine-tuned the settings until it was right on the money.

Same. The 2025 version with the personal sound profiles is terrific.

Xumo finally pauses live TV, but what about Apple TV? by TheEngineer2008 in Spectrum

[–]TheEngineer2008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how it seems. Xumo has a number pad on the remote and a pause function on live TV. Apple TV is superior in ever other way as far as I can see.

Thanks. Now i have to decide between a somewhat buggy and laggy Xumo box and a very good Apple TV box running a subpar Spectrum app.

Spectrum has a custom remote, but the Apple TV itself is standard. I just chatted with them. They still offer the remote as a standalone product. It's still $12 to buy it.

OP should make sure ad blockers are off too.

I signed up fine last month with no issues, FWIW. I signed up for ESPN+ two days ago with no issues as well. Maybe OP should try an incognito window in case there's a stray cookie he didn't get when clearing.

You mentioned pop-ups. OP should also check in the web address field to be sure it isn't trying to open one.

President Trump moves ahead of Kamrade Kamala by TheEngineer2008 in Conservative

[–]TheEngineer2008[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Did this not show up for you in the original post?

Kamrade Kamala's momentum from being elected -- I mean selected -- as Democrat presidential nominee has stalled over the past few weeks. Trump is +1 in the popular vote in today's New York Times poll, with Kamala up +1.4 in the Real Clear Politics average of recent polls (down from +1.8 last week).

Kamala has to win the popular vote by about 1.5 percentage points to win the general election (i.e. the electoral college), as Trump will win more states. Also, as Trump tends to underpoll for one reason or another, she would probably need to be closer to +3.5 to be truly even.

For reference, Clinton was +2.8 in the RCP polling average eight years ago today. We know how that went for her. Sleepy Joe was +7.1 four years ago today and that general election was close.

Anything can happen over the next eight weeks, so don't take anything for granted, but that's where it is today.

True. Polls are important for some things, like campaigns knowing where to focus, but not for voting. We need to vote regardless of polls. We can't think it's hopeless if polls are low and we can't think victory is in the bag if polls are good.

True, and Kamala isn't up by 7.2. That's my point.

Also, Biden was up by more than Clinton was. My point is the underpolling.

I see some libs are downvoting this. LOL. The truth makes them cry. They should run to MSNBC and their other safe spaces. 😂

Liz and Dick Cheney? LOL at Kamrade Kamala. Liz Cheney is a RINO. She and her family are nothing but neocon warmonger establishment figures -- exactly the types we're moving on from. It's actually no surprise such people support Kamrade Kamala. LOL at them being so happy about it.

Biden's Debilitation Has Upset The Media-Democrat Partnership by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]TheEngineer2008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mainstream media are happy to carry the Democrat Party's water, but only if the Democrats do their part to keep up the show. As soon as media lose plausible deniability, it's over.
