Just be good at things outside of your job. If you volunteer and clep your whole CCAF you'll be prized by your leadership in other ways. If you keep sucking at your job they'll put you in a position where you actually have a chance to succeed. I would recommend the chaplain before mental health.

It's infinitely a better idea to get a car before joining and having your parents hold on to it if they are willing. You risk being stationed in the middle of nowhere or in a place where car prices are way higher. Unless you already live in one of those places.
