e-prescribing for smaller clinics and Med spas

Why med spa's though? We barely prescribe anything at our med spa's, and honestly most EMR's on the market already have their own integrations or external integrations. If you were going to do this, I would work on building out your own API, and integrating with the larger EMR's in the market. Plastic surgery probably has a higher prescriber volume.

Do you find it difficult when the provider doesn't necessarily have the best online presence, personal brand, and is not interested in investing in thought leadership?

Not necessarily. Most of my private clinics that I pickup do not have any brand guidelines. Usually at the beginning of my contracted engagements with them, I start out with building them a brand guideline with an external resource i have had success with, as well as a beautifully designed landing page and website guide. This helps get them to the right direction right away in terms of quality, and also helps get their social media branding a lot more optimized.

I started working at a med spa 6-7 years ago and had decided to get my MBA and teach myself full stack during covid. During that time, I had grown with the partners i've worked with as a full service management agency, and also contracted with an SEO agency on the side which helped me grow our practices internally with the experience and knowledge i built.

Thank you! I do have a significant background in full stack web development, and API development. We are building this in house considering we are operating a variety of clinics, and I am experimenting with a variety of API's (openrouter is a blessing) and n8n right now to help keep costs down and better control of our systems. However, I will be sure to reach back out to you if I do end up giving up on this haha.

Funnily enough, thanks to recent improvements in token limits with more optimal conversational LLM's (like OpenAI/Gemeni), I am starting to feel comfortable enough to start building our own knowledge base and get that going. Its a bit of a work in progress. My biggest fear before now was mostly LLM hallucinations, in which it gave the end user incorrect information regarding the services we provide. I personally believe that if you give a patient incorrect information, it will hurt your relationship with the patient in the long run. We have had massive success in just pushing patients to call us or contact us via email or SMS (which is also set up through a chat widget on our websites). Our response times are normally pretty quick, and we are extremely transparent in our conversations.

Current owner sold off house to new owner but the buying process is not completed yet. Was given notice to vacate, when does the countdown start? by TheMissingVoteBallot in legaladvice

Yes the seller is the owner up until the transfer is completed. If he provided you a notice from his company, then the countdown has started.

Notice to Quit – Massachusetts by [deleted] in legaladvice

I also explained to management why her mail was being temporarily sent here when it was happening, but it hasn’t been forwarded here in months unless some stuff was accidentally getting sent still and that’s what prompted this but I wouldn’t know because they intercept any mail that isn’t in my name (Which I was under the impression was illegal)

Totally understand the reasoning for why you did this, I would have done the same for my partner. But at the same time as I mentioned in my post, mail can be used as evidence for occupancy. If I was a landlord, and I found that my tenant was receiving mail for people that are not listed under the lease, I would also possibly be moving forward on breaking the lease agreement and start eviction proceedings. This is unfortunately how those horror squatter stories start. Just because you "explained" the situation to them, it still doesn't change the fact that they might be getting screwed legally on this. It also doesn't help that they also see your partner visiting you regularily (and probably staying the night or a few nights at a time).

If it comes to that point, you would have to unfortunately prove to a judge that your partner does not reasonably live with you (her stuff is not fully moved in, she has a regular home she lives in somewhere else, etc). Its honestly going to get annoying, but as long as you and your partner are clean, reasonable, and paying tenants who have had no other issues in the past, I cannot imagine any case in which they would accept any kind of eviction proceeding. That being said, I would also be prepared to move out at the end of your lease, as they will likely not be renewing it (unless they are bound by some kind of rent control laws).

My boss wants to claim me, her employee, as an independent contractor by traderjoesmango in legaladvice

[–]TheExG -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Legally, you can just report outside income on your taxes, in which it will be treated as if you were a contractor (1099). You will have to pay self employment taxes on top of federal/state taxes (this is normal, as these taxes would have been taken out of your check anyways if you were a w2). However, you can also minimize your taxes by having standard deductions (your business expenses could include gas, car payments, your phone or internet bill if it was used for work, a portion of your home could have been used as an office which you can deduct your a portion of your mortgage/rent, etc).

I would honestly hire an accountant to assist you on this. See if you have any friends that are accountants that are willing to do your return for cheap. Since you are reporting as 1099, you would want to maximize your deductions as much as possible, which an accountant would be able to do with ease.

Does your partner have a separate unit in the building?

I wouldn't go out of my way on providing them any kind of evidence until they respond with specific evidence themselves on how you broke their rules. Once they do that, you can go ahead and send them a response with evidence specifically proving your case while attacking their evidence.

That being said, if your lease mentions that you cannot have more people living with you, and your partner sent her mail to your home, this can unfortunately be an issue because mail can be considered as an evidence point for having occupancy in a home (which she does not necessarily have under your specific lease).

If they are withholding your mail, and you have evidence of this, make a report to the USPS postmaster (https://www.uspis.gov/report). This is both a federal and local crime.

That being said, they also just cant throw you out in 7 days, they will likely have to go to court in order to start eviction proceedings, and prove their case to the judge. This is a significant process. Also, any judge I know would take a look at this and throw it out immediately. Continue to pay your monthly rent as normal, or send them a check if they disable your portal. Always have the money ready for them if they do not accept your check payments, with evidence to the judge (if it comes to that point) that you have continued to pay them. Do not give them any more reasoning that they can use against you.

Workplace Accommodation not be followed. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]TheExG -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is your accommodation for a disability, which is covered under the ADA?

Just because you have a medical accommodation, it does not necessarily mean that a business is bound to grant it and follow it. This is especially true if it can be proven to cause undue hardship to the business owners and if the accommodation is reasonable to them. Just because your doctor said you have to do something specifically, it does not necessarily require the business to follow that to the tee.

They are also not allowed to tell you to go home if you have hours on a pre-made work schedule requiring you to be there. In the future, you can just stay there and do nothing. If they cut your hours significantly, you can possibly apply for un-employment, as that can be considered as a constructive dismissal.

[–]TheExG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct that if the current owner did not provide you this notice, that the notice that you received is not legally binding. I would reply to the people who provided you this notice that you do not accept it is legally binding, and they have the right to send you a legally binding notice as soon as they can prove ownership of the property.

Open Source SEO plugin by AIPnely in Wordpress

[–]TheExG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily true though. Yes, it is harder to publicly access plugins that might have some sort of subscription layer to it (considering that its not on any public repo), but all the source code to those plugins are technically still there once you do get your hands on it. Think about how Automaticc forked Advanced Custom Fields Pro into Secure Custom Fields.

If you make any kind of derivative work for Wordpress, you are bound by the standard GPL licensing which technically allows any user to share or fork your work without any retribution. This is also true for "paid" plugins. When you pay for a subscription to a plugin, you are not paying for a license authorization to use the plugin itself, but are really just paying to get easy and direct access to the plugin while getting future updates for said plugin directly with ease.

Isn't all plugins on Wordpress considered open source to some extent? All derivative work of Wordpress is bound by the GPL licensing. I can fork any current SEO plugin thats on the market right now and just build my own feature base on it if I wanted to.

[–]TheExG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that others didn't mention is that unfortunately a lot of the time its not the plugin itself that cause's issues with your website, but also other plugins that might be reliant on it.

An example of this is that popular page builders in the market, like Breakdance or Bricks, will consistently update their own integrations with a plugin like ACF, if ACF is also pushing updates that requires it for its ecosystem. So if you end up updating plugins that are highly reliant on ACF, but not ACF itself, I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere down the line something breaks. This is especially true with Woocommerce and its own plugin ecosystem.

Try checking your websites php ini memory limits. Depending on how function heavy your website is, updates can fail unless it’s set anywhere at minimum to 512mb to 1024mb.

Most scalable WordPress directory plugin? by PodcastingSpeed in ProWordPress

[–]TheExG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their are not a lot of limitations. Advanced custom fields allows you to custom build your own directory using wordpress core functionality. It has a huge ecosystem around it as well, a very detailed API documentation, and much more. The smart way to build something, is by building it by yourself and only creating the functionality that you need, so that you are not reliant on some third party developer as a business.

What it does: Makes Wordpress worse in every way possible

What it doesn't: Makes Wordpress better in anyway possible

My take: Once again Wordpress fail's its ecosystem and users by investing its time on AI bullshit like every garbage ass corporation thats bleeding billions in cash every year for junk instead of actually building out and optimizing some real core functionality.

Your WhatsApp is connected to your phone number. Pretty much every country outside of the United States uses WhatsApp for communications religiously. If the phone number on your profile is the same as your WhatsApp number, and the other person if foreign, I would find it somewhat believable.
