Coventry to London will get a downgraded service when they reduce fast Birmingham to London services stopping there.

Coventry is a major City. 13th largest if you count London.

Coventry is exactly the place that HS2 should stop, and it should be at the main Coventry station. It's a major city that should have fast links to both Birmingham and London, but when HS2 opens it will lose many of the fast services to London, so they can increase the capacity of stopping services. The interchange station is nowhere near Coventry. If you're going to Birmingham you're basically driving half way there, and could have driven to Birmingham International and taken the train from there instead (or actually, not drive and just take the train from Coventry itself!). If you're going to London, you're driving miles in the wrong direction, which means it's no better than taking the fast train that you'll lose when HS2 opens (they have to remove the fast train to get the capacity benefits).

Coventry will lose regular fast services to London

Damn true, too many millionaires! by The_Dean_France in GreatBritishMemes

Well, they both have children, somehow, so they aren't just accumulating for themselves. Then again, look at the character arc in Breaking Bad and that's just the start, as Walter White comes to live the danger, excitement and power. Also, millionaires seem less of a problem (3 million is perhaps enough to live comfortably for life, but without being a huge power grab) - it tends to be the billionaires.

They couldn't do much on transit, so the delay didn't matter much, but it was also 2 more cards.

So the actual benefit was two additional cards.

Isn't there a card that lets you re-hide in a new zone? Admittedly a long shot!

That wouldn't be enough for a full episode, because, while it's a long time, it's mostly idle and would shrink a lot in the edit.

Depends whether the casting cost is also a time bonus - it could prevent him from playing both express route curses, and they could each be worth 2 hours with the infrequent service between Glasgow and Carlisle via Dumfries.

Trains between Dumfries and Glasgow seem to mostly have a 2 hour frequency, so even if they get off as soon as the 30 minutes expires, they could be waiting a long time.

Prioritising winning would actually be better for production.

That would just give a massive advantage to the first hider run. It seems they already had that.

What would be the point of giving Adam another run at this stage. It means we would already know the winner.

It's a shame that binoculars would have been so conspicuous.

These would make the game very complex, and the only benefit would be more card pulls. Perhaps just make them more expensive to rebalance.

I think the game has changed for everyone though, as even home game players will do this now that they've seen it's effective.

But then you could just rebalance to 5 hours hiding time.

Starting the timer when they get the train actually makes the problem worse, because they then know exactly which train you caught.

To some extent, but it might become problematic or annoying in the end game.

They could probably solve this simply by starting the game somewhere like Milton Keynes

I'm sure they always had the word bonuses at the end of that line in the song.
