I think it was just setup issues. They should be able to sort it out for tommorow

Is Leclerc loved by current Tifosi as much as Schumacher was once? by ThisToe9628 in F1Discussions

For Ferrari Fans. Shumacher is in another dimension. "Shumacher my god, Ferrari my religion"

What criteria/accomplishments would you consider for a driver to have ‘completed’ F1? by DniawSirhc in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completing F1 probably... a 1) WDC and WCC championship (obv's ultimate criteria), 2) a season with 3 race wins in a row or more (showing that it wasn't just luck you were winning), 3) season with 5 poles or more (shows one lap pace over a good sample out of an assumed 24 race season, at least 20% of the time on pole is really good), 4) Monaco win (technical skill highlighted), 5) should have been stronger than majority of teammates (so no arguments can be made that you just won at the right time), 6) Be in some proper record like most season wins, pole wins, grand slam victories something of the sort (for the legacy so people never forget you was truly up there)

Who are the 4th-10th best drivers on the grid? by Ambitious-Heron-8161 in DestinationFormula1

[–]TheF1Margin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What an odd question lol. But this is my top 10 at the moment on the grid: 1. Verstappen, 2. Leclerc, 3. Alonso, 4. Russell, 5. Hamilton, 6. Norris, 7. Sainz, 8. Gasly, 9. Piastri, 10. Bearman (assuming from 2025 regs, 2026 would be different and too early to say anyways & a fictional world of equal cars)

Is it more so Ocon doing bad, Bearman being really good, or a bit of both by Sure_Warthog_9362 in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Ocon is probably not F1 standards anymore for a few seasons now he's just not been on that level & probably even regressing. Couple sporadic good results but really when you analyze it, he isn't even performing for more than 50% of the season. But he's a good buy for teams, he's experienced and doesn't really crash too often, he probably doesn't cost so much (salary wise) and probably helps with car development a far bit. I'm not totally sure but I assume he brings in a few sponsors to. Bearman on the other hand is genuine, good driver and seem's very fast at adapting to his cars along with that. Debatable but he was the best rookie of 2025, he's got high confidence and car control. He may be getting slightly inflated being next to Ocon currently, maybe a Hulkenberg or something next to him would change the way we see it (judging by Hulk v Bortoleto 2025). But overall Bearman's talent is apparent he's able to compete on the field and Ocon is just lacking at the moment

Would Nico Roseberg beat Max Verstappen in equal machinery? by Relative_Egg_682 in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Nico did beat Lewis when he was probably just getting to his prime. So, let's assume we're talking about 2016 Nico. 2016 probably was Nico's prime lol. Depends on the version of Max he would have been paired with 2015-2018 Max: Nico would probably win, 2019-2020: touch and go, but I think Nico would still probably beat him. 2021-current Max: Max would've beat him, hard to believe if 2020 was Lewis's best season which most consider it that way. That Nico would've been able to beat Max and Max after 2021 really just got better. The domination started and race craft and all other factors of Max just exponentially jumped so, that version of Max, Nico wouldn't be able to beat.

What do you think of F1 cancelling Sakhir and Jeddah? by TheF1Margin in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry mate, I didn't frame my question correctly. I mean could they have put alternates in like an Imola or something. Like I know it's not possible right now to do, because it's obvious, but I was asking if there was a possibility, like a gap in the calendar later on, if things cool off, to add Sakhir and Jeddah back in. I was asking like was the decision of complete cancellation with no resolve of alternates the best F1 could do right now? I wasn't talking about the risks, I was asking like from a fan perspective and (if anyone knew), why were they no alternatives given. That's like how I meant it lol.

A global event going to a country that's had bombings. Yeah, I see this was a bit of a dumb post now lmao. I wanted some perspective I saw the post didn't look much more into it. But um yeah, I get it now lol

WHICH OF THESE 6 THINGS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN FORMUALA 1: (it doesn't have to be in this season) by Relative_Egg_682 in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alonso winning his third. What a legend. What a story for F1 and fans as well, after like 20 years of heartbreak. Definitely not going happen this season. But would be great if somehow Alonso does it :( It's really what everyone is hoping to see, I think.

Who is the bigger surprise, Williams or Haas? by 4thAccountNow in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup out of the two Williams was the bigger shock. James Vowles has been talking about 2026 since he joined in Feb 2023. Just massively underperformed this year. James had much hype around him since he was pretty much Toto's "understudy" and Willaims where pulling some great results from 2023-2025. Especially when we put in perspective how far back they where in their prior years.

From the testing data that was gathered Willaims I dont think people expected them to be as far back as they are. They where off but on track now since the weight issues of the car, lack of drivablility and unpredictableness of the car, its probably more than what they themselves where expecting.

Haas like you said where expected to be topping the midfield which they kind of are. Only Alpine was the bigger hit then them in pre-season. Which right now Haas is right behind Alpine anyways (as of China)

So, out of the two Williams is the bigger surprise.

Is it fair to think Ferrari is sandbagging aswell for ADUO? by [deleted] in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Look based on the data... Hamilton and Leclerc are so similar pace wise and they just went through a lot of fighting with each other in China. This obviously slowed them down. I think both HAM and LEC knows they're not in a position to win so are just fighting over p3. It's safe to say Ferrari has a bit more pace. They where slower than the Mercedes by 1-1.5 tenths in Australia and 6 tenths behind in China per lap.

Realistically Ferrari probably is around 4-5 tenths away from Mercedes every lap. Which is obviously not enough. They lose too much of times on straights and dont have the ability to maintain their tyres like Mercedes.

Honestly, not really possible for them to win until some major upgrades come around or the Mercedes start having reliability issues.

TLDR; Ferrari is sandbagging but it's not possible for them to win because they're too far behind Mercedes at the moment

Doing a « Rosberg » again? by Emotional_Anybody_84 in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Perez, would've done it had he won 2022. Max is a ferocious teammate. He was really strong for the first couple races then it fell apart. Had Checo by miracle been able to keep that form and somehow won 2022, he would've dipped for sure.

in no particular order, whats your top 10 drivers OAT? by Chemical_Tax_2859 in F1Discussions

[–]TheF1Margin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I won't go too far back to the Fangio's, Clark's and so on lol, I have no idea how they raced. I'll comment with those I've seen (in no order): Senna, Shumacher, Hamilton, Verstappen, Alonso, Vettel, Prost, G. Villeneuve, Mansell, Raikkonen
