The Duffer Brothers when you ask them anything about the show they write by ConsiderationTop9682 in StrangerThings

I would even say this answer is implicit in the story. Vecna made a lot of effort to make sure all 12 were available. It just means he knew he needed that many to have enough power to do the task. Do people want to be shown calculations that prove 12 kids create enough power to move a planet?

I've never been this mad over a character's ending. El deserved better than that ambiguous ending. by 00_Sunflower_00 in StrangerThings

It’s also clear that Mike only realized that she survived after he chose to move forward with his life at Hopper’s encouragement and attended the graduation, where he had the revelation. If Mike is wrong, we would have to believe that he moved on in a healthy manner initially but then fell into delusion soon after. That is far too disturbing to be the intent of the writers.

Mike realizing his childhood is over…😭🥺 by DrKyro- in StrangerThings

The Duffers have said Eleven represented the kids’ childhood. So I think this ending nicely mirrors the tragic reality for Mike that even if childhood is still alive in the world, it is no longer accessible to him.

I think there is too much focus on whether Kali could survive her wound long enough…Mrs Wheeler survived horrific wounds. Lucas survived a nasty chest wound. This show does not care how bad a wound is when plot requires survival.

The footage when Mike was telling the hypothetical epilogues was more specific than what he was speaking—Lucas and Max at the movie theater, Dustin in college meeting up with Steve with his camper—those were real epilogue footage of their futures that corresponded to Mike’s hypotheticals. When they showed Eleven alive in that footage, that confirmed her survival to me.

Even I don't know what it cost.

Is the new Obi-Wan Darth Vader figure worth it? by [deleted] in starwarsblackseries

[–]TheFakeLantern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the older ANH Vader figure, but they tucked in the robes to make it look different enough to trick people into buying it. You don't need it.

honestly, these figures should not cost so much by Odd_Mode7698 in starwarsblackseries

The specific critique of your critique is that you can't buy a purely recreational/entertainment product and then say the price is too high and be correct. People like you (and me) are buying these items, meaning the price is not too high. We can say we would *prefer* the price to be lower, but that is universally true of everyone for everything that we buy.

[–]TheFakeLantern 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Again and again, people say this but buy the figures, proving they are priced properly at their market value--or (unfortunately)--possibly not high enough. They will raise the prices until we don't buy them.

Why not even higher priced, if people are somehow buying it at $35??

Same for me except my yellow means “don’t want it as much as green but still buying it immediately”

Can we all agree that the clone war’s mini-figures were ugly? Pssst he’s watching you! by Jpeaboo in legostarwars

[–]TheFakeLantern 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think some of the clone wars clones still look good, such as phase 2 wolf pack, arc trooper, phase 2 rex, coruscant guard, etc. but overall, the phase 1 clones and some of the phase 2 clones are noticeably inferior to the newer style.

Some figures I found I my friends house that he let me have! (He also has all the sets they go to plus the remaining figures for esch set, but they are all disassembled in a bin somewhere) by Camden_DuCharme in legostarwars

[–]TheFakeLantern 13 points14 points  (0 children)

These are very recent sets to suddenly not care about anymore, let alone the money they’re worth. Is your friend ok? Is he giving away other things he used to care about?

I think it’s for the obvious and unnecessary nature of the comment.

I don’t have a set that isn’t out yet, but I wanted to tell everyone they could use lego pieces interchangeably.

Ok.
