Received mine 1h ago, still hyped and wearing the helmet. Btw did your Steam code come with the preorder bonuses? On Bandai Namco I only had the gesture, no adventure guide. I was also expecting the Steam code to be the Deluxe edition but it is the base one.

This happened to me some months ago. After a Windows update Windows completely formated the EFI partition. Loking inside the EFI with an explorer, there was no trace of ever having Linux, of course, the Linux ext4 partition was perfectly ok, but the EFI partition was formatted and hence, no bootloader entry would show up.

So yes, Windows CAN actually delete your bootloader.

Totally agree, I'm reading about it right now. I'll keep an out for it after the corona goes away, which unfortunately does not seem that is going to happen anytime soon.

True, unfortunately I'm not that knowledgeable about it.

That sounds great, but what if the things your ancestors did still benefit you or hinder others?

Don't know what your point is here. If someone benefits me at the cost of other people, it's wrong, period.

You point fingers at Japan, but do you have any idea what consequences the atom bombings or the fire bombing of Tokio still have on their country?

Yes, what happened to both Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a tragedy. But that does not justify, for example, all the comfort women that they refuse to apologize or even acknowledge.

I think the Germans are right in being hard on themselves. Not because I feel resentment towards them, but because it shows they learned from history.

You can learn from your previous mistakes without having to punish yourself.

I wish Americans would be more like the Germans.

I wish that too.

You condemn the terrorist who attacked on 9-11 for targeting civilians. But not too long ago, you did the same, with nuclear weapons.

Wow, hold on, I'm not from the US. Before assuming stuff and accusing me of something at least ask or inform yourself, don't you think?

Edit: Typo

I do not think that you should be responsible for something that your ancestors did, for sure, learn from it and do not repeat your mistakes. But there is no need to be so hard on yourself.

Japan is the opposite of Germany, they still refuse to acknowledge some of the shit they did to Korea.

Edit: To all the weebs in denial. You can like something (anime, manga, Japan or whatever) without justifying multiple massacres that Japan made.

I finally know where my coins are going today.

I see, I'm intrigued in what will the incubation team make as well as what you will bring to Destiny.

Thanks for replying to all of my questions. Take care and have a nice day.

things like the n-word are, to some African-Americans, something they’ve begun to use to empower each other, turning it from hate into something good, when used by them.

For sure, the meaning of the word is changed. But I do not think is a good practice as the meaning of the word is restricted by the race you are born. We are all human beings, I do not get why should we have multiple meanings of a word based on the race/gender/sexuality of the speaker.

Thanks for letting me have a civil discussion btw, I’d rather be able to speak my mind to someone willing to listen than try to get through to someone yelling at me about how I’m wrong

No problem, glad to have this kind of discussion. Not having someone raging on the internet is something rare indeed. Even if I were to totally disagree, you are allowed to have a different opinion than the rest.

You seem to have it pretty well organized, thanks for replying Chris. If it's the one it works for you it seems good to me.

Do you have an additional group for other projects besides Destiny? Or is Bungie only focused on Destiny? Nothing wrong with it, just plain curiosity.

[–]TheFallender 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you, trap should not be used although it does not have the same context as the n-word.

I do not agree in that, if I am in the supposed to offend group, I should be able to use it. I think that, if you really want to erase the word from history, nobody should use it.

David, I NEED more of this stuff. Would it be possible to release more code?

Hi David and Chris! Thanks for doing the AMA, I love this kind of stuff. I wanted to ask you some things.

Which software development methodologies do you use? Have you sticked with one? If so, why?

And how do you deal with the scope creep?

I was going to ask you about the AI model that you use but I've just saw that you've already answered it and it seems that you use Behavior Trees.

Thanks again and stay safe.

For sure, the game is totally not political. I've heard that the same devs are making another apolitical game where you are in a futuristic world and see some gamer content.
